I suggest using a fast movement speed char with blink-skill like Spellbreaker or Blademaster, my Spellbreaker can do this run under 5 mins. (also not good for your heart, sometimes my SB hp down below 25%)
Twin Falls run is very nice.
Superfast. For me, i need min. 5min because of the purple Bossspider at the end. It could oneshot me.
4 Runs - 5 Leg.
What level do you generally start farming for legendaries like this?
Level 76 (ish) Cabalist, got a few rather low-level legendaries. Average item level is like mid fifty, and grinding through Act 5 Elite right now. Just got through Ugdenbog (hate Beast Nemesis so much) and about to jump into the Void to save Ulgrim.
Should I start doing it in Ultimate? Right now am too high level for things like a Cronley Run or the sort to be any efficient.
I recommend go to Ultimate and farm Twin Falls. If you unlocked factions on Normal, of course.
Alright, thanks. Should be able to beat the expansion on Elite - not that bad on gear and the only times I have trouble are when I can’t kite (friggin Sylvaria). After that, fight till Ultimate Twin Falls and farm a bunch.
What level is that area at anyway? Mid eighties? Mid nineties? I mean Lower Crossing on Elite was in the early level 60’s and I’ll probably be at like level 80 once I’m done with Elite.
On ultimate all areas will scale to your level. Certain areas will have the mobs scale a little bit higher above your level than others to adjust the difficulty. I’d only really start farming on Ultimate since the drops are a lot better and I estimate that you need to be level 85-90+ anyways for the highest level legendaries to drop. Twin Falls is a good and easy run to get started.
In case you’re playing on hardcore I’d start farming earlier though
Make sure the mobs that you encounter (especially heroes and bosses) have level above 75+ (for normal legendaries) or 94+( they might drop mythical legendaries).
I’d play crucible if I had the gear for it (not sure how long it would stay interesting for me,) but I have to start somewhere. I’m very glad to have information about drop rates for these runs.
Farming wasps using that route is probably the safest way to farm some legendaries, and still quite rewarding one. Also, it gives tons of Royal Jelly (that can be used for nice potions) and Serrated Spikes (you need tons of them to craft Seal of Blades and some other very useful endgame components).
Just posting my support for this thread. Really appreciate the work you’ve done here. Please keep it up!
I’m curious, why do you skip the wasp hives at the end of Cronley’s Hideout? I’ve quite often found clusters of hero wasps in there.
I’m currently levelling another character but will add some statistics for a Steps of Torment run soon.
I’m not skipping them completely. When I walk past them and I spot a hero or the aura of one I’ll go and kill it.
The reason I didn’t walk through there was the bad drop rate of the wasp type of heroes. This was the case one year ago which can be seen in the “per boss/hero” rate of legendaries for Twin Falls in the old statistics post.
However as this rate seems to have improved it might be worth it to walk through the hives now.
I’m happy with my Pine Barrens route. The four bosses of the zone and the treasure trove usually net me one or two legos and/or blueprints per run.
Ah interesting. I haven’t seen the old post (not sure why I didn’t find it in search results searching for “farming”.)
Here is the link to the old data. I also included the link in my first post
I added the Steps of Torment Run.
It took me a while to collect enough data.
For me it’s the most enjoyable one so far as it not only features a great leg-drop rate but is also not as repetitive as the other runs due to its length
Im sorry for asking this here, but i didnt want to create a new thread just for it !
Is there a link to see all the new items, components and everything new in Ashes of Malmouth? ???
Take a look at the Grim Dawn Item Database.
If you want to find the expansion items you can enter “Ashes of Malmouth” in the search bar and check the “include item descriptions” box
One thing to add in the Fleshworks route’s favor is that you get a good amount of aetherial mutagens and missives that drop which can br turned into legendaries at that one dead smith. I’ve had a lot of success with those legendaries being good ones but I’ve heard there was a bug that excludes some sets currently so might be good to save your mats until its fixed.

I’d say it’s worth it to run the other way around to SOT and kill guardian, for a chance to get decent sect pants.
