I have updated the numbers on the 3 runs to match the faster clearing speed of my new CDR Aether Spellbinder so the per hour rates have changed quite a bit.
Looking at the results it seems to me that the Steps of Torment run can come close to the Crucible in terms of legendary drops =)
Also it is not as repetitive/difficult to do for the most part.
If you’re looking for some of those it might be a good idea to do that, true. Thanks for the tip.
With the thirst of ectoplasm/vengenful and bristy fur for crafting, it sounds a good and solid run. Also next patch adding a 100% blue print drop rate reward for dungeon run. Btw you forgot to add the trove location:p
Steps of torment is garbage. The skeletons have some of the worst loot tables I’ve seen and every run I did barely scratched 1-2 legendary, even less. Both Bastion of chaos and Port valbury are much much better loot-wise as they should be since they are harder.
I love SoT, its quite simple, easy, fast (3 or 4x faster than BoC and Port) good components and rare materials drop, also these must-have MIs from Alkamos.
Better drop-rate? For my own experience it seems NO or really bad luck.
Port is the worst among these 3, taking a longgggg time with terrible reward. For BoC I hate the red background design, it really hurts my poor eyes, and - so many dumb door-like you have to open to process. Also Sharzul is an h with bad MI droprate.
Lol you can ask veteran players how they think about Port and BoC, most do not like both, especially Port. Have you ever tried doing fast run by spamming fake-blink like shadow strike or blitz to reduce time? 6 mins per SoT run include solael beast, Boc ~ 8 mins, Port is the slowest - 15 mins. If you just like walking around with slow chars, you never feel it.
As you can see in the data the steps of torment run is not bad compared to the other runs or even the Crucible. I might try the BOC run too but as holystar88 mentioned I feel like it might not be as efficient and the annoying doors will slow you down.
The SoT run looks nice. That is a pretty good drop rate for Legs. The main issue though, is coming up with with all the rare mats for the keys. Looks like you got 32 in 110 runs? I’m assuming those were mostly from the troves as I believe most heroes (if any?) don’t drop rare mats and there probably weren’t all hearts/brains/bloods which can be used or converted to use to make more keys? So that would be around 80 other rare mats (bloods) you’d have to farm to make that many runs?
I’d be interested in seeing if BoC would have a comparable leg drop rate, but a more sustainable rare mat rate to supply the keys. I’ve done a number of run just to the first floor and have collected a number of rare mats from the trove and the heroes there.
