Farthest Farmers

Hello all!

Hope you’re all still enjoying playing (and devving). I have a question / request about the farmers.

When I start a new town, farms of 24x12 can operate perfectly well with 16 farmers.
(out of a max 39 that you can assign there)

As the town grows, you need to add more and more farmers because the farmers are running around “helping” the other farms. Because of the traveltime, they get home to their own field too late, and crops are lost to rot.

It would benefit me a lot, if I could tell the farmers not to leave a certain area / stick to their own farm / not jeopardise their own fields when they go to help elsewhere.

Also, if dev-work is done on the farms, maybe we can get a text input for the number of farmers that are assigned to each farm? When I need the workforce for the winter, and i release my 16 farmers, i have to click 16 times to release them one by one. In the next year, i have to click 16 times again to get them back in the field.

manor lords have a farmer house… like real life, makes more sense than them living in lots of separate homes miles away from the fields

Could fertility priority be added to certain farms?

That’s becoming a huge problem late game. I create new neighbourhoods next to new fields to help, but farmers still walk around between far away fields most of the time. I have plenty of cobbled roads between the fields to help with the travel time, but I still lose thousands of crops to rot. My town reached 3000 villagers recently, and I can ill afford to lose so much food and grain.
