The RTS game Stronghold Crusader has that feature, of course for combat relation to slow down enemy units.
And while the combat in Farthest Frontier is not that complex (yet), it would be neat if we could make canals and rivers within the city for decoration purposes, little bridges and of course moats in front of walls (those don’t necessarily need to slow enemy units).
Despite the many options, I feel like the game could still have more options to make more stunning, complex settlement layouts/designs.
If there is a potential future for mods even, it would also be quite interesting to see what cool castles and such people will build with building skin mods or similar.
I would love to re-build Stormwind from World of Warcraft as a functioning settlement
Function T = flatten, so ctrl + T = raise and shift + T = lower or dig? I tried T by itself in a straight line and nothing.

It would be nice that the workers also can raise the terrain, to get a better advantage point for watchtowers.
Yeah, that would be quite nice as well. As same as it would be nice to be able to build fortifications like this:
Additionally, to make it not too easy with such defensive structures, the developers of the game could add a 3rd wall upgrade, which allows soldiers to be staffed on the walls. To counter that as well, ladders and siege towers will be added as well (since a Battle ram already exists in the current version).
That way the combat becomes a bit more complex while giving both sides measures to counter each other.
Edit: Fixed some typos there.

Indeed this gives a very indepth gameplay.
I agree having more advanced sculpting for the land would be useful for creating things like moats or amending things like hills to have stepped layers. Although I feel it should be kept subtle like the flattening tool currently is so if you want to make major changes it takes multiple raises/digging as it is a large project.
I also feel a third tier of wall would be good for aesthetics and gameplay as the town grows. I feel the paliside and stone walls are well balanced against raiders up until they start to arrive with the catapults/trebuchet as the stone walls/towers then seem to turn to paper. Although it could be a balancing issue with the ranged siege weapons.
I feel bridges would be really useful, also if they could be used overland too. I had a map recently with two large hills next to each other with a town on each so would’ve been cool to have had a bridge connecting the two hills together. Walking down and then up the next hill was basically doubling the distance between the towns.
