Feedback after 42 hrs gameplay

Really enjoying FF, great job on this. While playing, I have been noting down things that I thought could be added or improved:

Simple QoL changes and bugfixes:

  • Add alert when resources for a mine, clay pit, or sand pit are depleted, currently tend to have workers doing nothing for a long time before I notice
  • Holding shift to increase map pan speed
  • Gold often does not seem to find its way into the vault despite turning it off in all other storage buildings?
  • Requirement to manually replant orchards when trees die is annoying - automate
  • Add more worker slots to compost yard, currently seem to need a very large number of compost yards to deal with a smallish town
  • Add more worker slots to cobbler, shoes always seem to be the first craft building that I need to build multiples of
  • Cart drivers are always dying when raiders attack as they don’t/can’t run away
  • Clicking the “salvage building” button should automatically reduce worker slots to 0 in that building (currently can have workers tied up in an empty mine for quite some time while it waits on being demolished).
  • Trade notifications in 0.7.5 were a nice improvement, but would be good to have circle face icons for every trader currently at the trade outpost rather than just the most recently arrived.
  • 4K improvements - trade menu starting half off screen when opened, Apothecary build requirements aren’t visible on mouseover as they hang off the bottom of the screen [edit: seems that trade screen has been fixed, not sure about Apothecary requirements].

Wish list:

  • Add minimap and resource search function - very hard to find rare resources by visually scanning map
  • Brick roads as an upgrade from cobblestone roads
  • Rivers! And buildings to go with them, e.g. bridges and ferry docks (ferries would be useful for lakes as well)

Depends what you mean by this. Does the gold remain in the storage it was already stocked in? Or is it in a limbo storage? If it’s in regular storages, transfer all gold to the trading post and then transfer it back into global storage once it’s stocked. This will move it to the vault with your storage settings.

Not going to be a thing until after 1.0, and even then it depends on whether they get the tech working. Might even only be a DLC if it does happen. It’s proven difficult for them to implement this feature with their current code.
