Buildings with flags have their flags flying in the direction of the prevailing wind regardless of their orientation. This is except for flag poles whose flags stay fixed, resulting in some flags flying at right angels or in the opposite direction of military buildings etc. This looks very odd especially when close together.
I am still playing 9.7g so this may have changed in 1.0.
