Hello
I’ve been away for a whilte, just came back and I find that the forager tier 2 / gardener has been nerfed to death. Now a garden (even after a few years) doesnt not yield more than 20 or 30 of a given resource.
Does the gardener still go foraging for stuff in their work area? Do we need to use the gardener as a conventional forager who has a little garden on the side?
The original buff when the garden was introduced was overpowered, but now the nerf has made them kinda useless
No, they either forage (t1) or work in their garden (t2). Devs are considering having them to both though.
the garden should be an upgrade though, and creating 24 flowers per year does not feel like a tier 2 return for your villager’s efforts. can it get un-nerfed a little ?
This has been discussed just a little in other threads ;). The problem with the previous version is that it made all the other systems for dealing with food (rare resource nodes, soil fertility, crop diseases, etc…) redundant. The problem with the current version is that it’s not an upgrade, it’s a specialised niche for making flax / roots / herbs / etc… when the other options aren’t available. Hopefully in the next version they’ll find a way to make it feel like an upwards upgrade rather than a sideways step, without it being overpowered.
