I know that it has been discussed many times, but still.
So just speaking from my experience from playing those class combos (from worst to best):
Defiler. Definitely the worst class combo right now. Very hard to play as a caster or as melee/ranged. Item support: gimmicky pistol that drops from hardest Roguelike boss that has no attack speed (lol), insanely hard to get one, and a decent sword (Blazeheart) that can only be obtained via quest (guaranteed drop but if you want to dw you gotta level two chars). No dedicated set. Synergy between masteries is piss poor. No healing skill (Siphon is not a good heal compared to WoR or PB or BoD), no cc res, almost no res at all.
Suggestions: make a set dedicated to Defiler. But not the set that Ritualist or Cabalist or Purifier would do much better, no, make a set with which Deflier will start making sense. Or add some necro skill bonuses to existing Fire sets or Demo bonuses to existing Vita sets. Like I feel Justicar could have necro bonuses or Death Knight could have demo bonuses (but of course they both buff soldier).
Sorceress. Much better class combo than a Defiler, sure. A lot of great support from Arcanist mastery. Item support: decent, but every other class combo does what sorc can do with those items better. Infernal Knight? Purifier, not even close, even Pyro would be better. Agrivix? Spellbinders, so not close it’s not even fun (whose bright idea was it to give more -rr% on agrivix to Necromancer mastery but give Demolitionist some wacky Vindictive flame mod?) So why would you play Sorc?
Suggestions: a set or a mod to existing set that gives fire rr to arcanist (or somehow makes Olexra’s not useless) or aether RR to demolitionist. Or maybe a set that is dedicated just sorcs, why not.
Witch Hunter. Brilliant class combo. Sick synergy. But. No good dedicated acid or cold sets. Shittiness of acid gear has been discussed many times. Class combo could use a dedicated set of Deathguard quality. Like a Shadow Strike set. Or some auto-attacking set. Right now Witch Hunters can do Phantasmal Blades really good and that’s about it.
Suggestions: Make Vileblade set into something decent by making it a dedicated Witch Hunter set. Theme can be anything: Shadow Strike, auto-attacks, even Ring of Steel, but just make this set not shit and make it support Occultist too. Make Dreeg set into something decent and add Nightblade support to it.
Spellbreaker. Still awesome class combo. Still a lot of power. Despite all the silly nerfs that affected like 0,001% builds that could only work with some impossible gear. Gear support: no dedicated sets, can’t think of a good single legendary designed for both classes.
Suggestions: add some Nightblade support to existing TSS sets or make a cold Shadow Strike set. Make Shadow Strike breakers great again. Iconic class combo but for some reason no dedicated set still.
If anyone has other suggestions or comments/corrections/critique to mine, you are welcome to discuss it.

People reminding me about Warlock and and Sabouter. I would say is somewhere between sorc and defiler in terms of general impotence. Sabouter is better but also very weak class combo in General.
I just want to make Aether>Fire conversion as easy as Fire>Aether for sorc. Make it reverse binder. It doesn’t really need more RR. Binder only has 1 RR skill but it’s the best class in the game. I want pure fire devastations, pure fire CT, Albrecht’s Fire Ray.
Sabouter is in itself such a meme class combo that I totally forgot about it. I mean at least you can slap Justicar on it and if you are lucky with two decent Skullbreakers you gonna have yourself an ok melee build
Cold Grenado/Blade Trap Sabo, I have never seen it in action, how good/bad is it, like in Crucible clear times/Mad Queen kill times?

I 100% agree with this, although gonna note that lightning is also an option for Sorc.

That set can be used by Witch Hunter of course, a class combo that has no Chaos RR. Or, or, just think about, it can also be used by a freaking Deceiver together with Harbinger Set and guess which Rah’Zin char will be a gimmicky okay char and which would be absolutely mind blowingly OP killing machine?
WH needs a proper cold set or a proper acid set or a set that does both.
Where was the last time you even “considered” spellbreakers? This is a class that rarely gets mentioned in “classes and builds”, I think after all the nerfs and after AoM was introduced, Spellbreaker is just kinda forgotten. You even here more often about Defilers and Warlocks, but mainly because how bad they are, but the word “Spellbreaker” nowadays sounds like it’s from a different game altogether.
Wh just needs an item that gives a hefty amount of mana regen and a bit of spirit, then buff solael’s witchfire to make it give cast speed and bam it becomes way better than infiltrator for cold pb.
Seriously tho it doesn’t need a new set. It’s fine to have one class that needs to be expensive to function. We just need one or two items that support acid SS preferably in the armor slot so we can use deathguard blades on acid SS builds.
Few months ago when I was helping to optimize a classic ABB/SS breaker with Soulrend for some guy on discord. Also when I was theoricrafting an optimal frostburn build some time before that.
Ah, Soulrend breaker, the most expensive build in the game that performance is just…okay, not infiltrator or purifier or binder or trickster or vindicator or druid or pyro level, but a-okay!
Did optimal Frosburn build ended up being Mage Hunter or Infiltrator btw?

Saboteur need to be in those list. It’s a shame that there is no proper set for fire strike saboteur (nex n Ortus doesn’t count). Making one will need many green items and people will consider it as gimmicky build…
Demo need a buff. If you look at underperforming classes :
Defiler, Elementalist, Saboteur - that’s half of possible Demo combination in the game!
How about turning mines intro TQ traps? With Aoe jet-like attack ?
