Forgotten Gods Theorycrafting Thread

With Allagast set + Chosen Mask we can get Storm Box to 0 second CD. Not very familiar with the skill, so I’m not sure if that’s a big deal or not but it looks interesting.

Dual Wield lightning Vindicator with lightning procs, at first wanted to go oathkeeper with eye of reckoning but since I dont know how tanky is oathkeeper and will be a pain in the ass to use eye with savagery I went inquisitor.

TBH the set really needs physical resist on the 3 or 4 piece bonus.

Vitality Grenado + 4 Guardians

It won’t be a big deal. Allagast was OK-ish and doesn’t seem to be better. I hope someone will prove me wrong though, I love Allagast gameplay (Stormbox + TrozanSS).

What, no obvious maximum spin-to-win Cyclone build yet? I’m disappointed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a draft: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/YNnlPnOV

Not sure about the main hand; presumably a well-rolled Sanctified Blade would be BiS. Anything else?

I’d venture not, assuming the number of active tethers is still capped at 3. I feel Allagast’s main issue has always been sustain: without lifesteal the gameplay feels very clunky, even with Hourglass.

I am pretty certain that Crate will include a number of balance changes to the old masteries in patch 1.1. that we can just can’t see yet…
Or at least I hope so; I am kind of exited about playing a fire EoR-Shieldbreaker with that new Cyclone set

Pets in various forms have usually been my jam so here is my first pass on the Ghol set

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2E8k8bN

A few things of note for the other pet lovers out there, the Ghol Set on a Ritualist hurts for resists a lot. You are going to have to make some painful choices on where to trade damage for resists on components/augments/devotions.

A pet heal for Ritualists who lack Blood of Dreeg? Sign me up for a https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/13708. A pity the resist reduction isn’t going to stack with reduction already on Ghol’s but I expect this to be the new go to amulet in a lot of pet builds. You can even cycle casts of this with a Witching Hour to always have reduction effects from items.

The Ghol set also has changed since the live stream reveal where I started theory crafting with it. If you want to convert pet physical damage to acid now, you either need copies of the new ring https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/11727 or more likely https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/12487. This conversion also makes Bull Rush look like a tasty devotion proc.

Attack speed is higher for pets than sheet listed, up to a full 32% higher from pet auras and Iris use. Similarly remember that all the +acid and poison damage is not factored in so another 570% pet damage of acid with higher spikes when the ring above triggers. Another 114% poison damage above this with Call of the Grave (which inexplicably continues to boost Vitality Damage and Poison Damage but not Acid Damage or Vitality Decay on pets)

One of the new properties on https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/9144 is 100% mind control reduction. No clue how much this is going to matter but considering what some Titan Quest bosses did to pet players, pet lovers should beware and perhaps keep a copy of these on them at all times https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/12219 to swap in if they hit that mechanic in a crucible/shattered realm run.

Unstable Anomaly appears to have been nerfed from +2 summons to +1 summon in conjunction with the +1 summon limit to Ghols. Can’t say I am a fan as this makes 3 Blight Fiends without Ghols impossible now and 4 would have been ideal since my current 3 Blight Fiend char has slightly under 4 second recast on the skill meaning that spamming the button on cooldown kills a fiend prematurely and while noone would be running around with 4 Fiends up all the time, the extra summon would have let my Fiends die naturally.

On an entirely different note I expect to build a different sort of Ritualist in the future focused on bleed since there are 3 new bleed to pet items https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/12219 https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/12166 https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/12132 and the new Night Talon devotion to pair with the old mainstays of Huntress, Mogdrogen the Wolf, and Primal Bond. Multiply the applications with Swarmlings and Skeletons and there may be something there. Or it may be total crud.

And to go completely off the rails it appears you can wear full Bysmiel’s Trinkets and Diviner’s Vision at the same time. Not sure what direction to take that yet but it should be memetastic.

Is there a way, like for items, to see all changes in the Devotions ?

i have to say it’s too much stuff that i don’t agree with to refute it

Lightning to vitality conversion on CHAOS off-hand.

Just.Why.

It’s not like we have a tonn of good caster chaos pieces that not IgnaRay bullshit. Seriously what up with chaos FoI obsession? Modifiers for this literally on every chaos item. We already have dedicated set for it, just give bonuses to something different…

Because it’s…not a chaos off-hand?

It’s a chaos/vitality off-hand. With +% vitality damage. And all of the skills it’s aimed at - Storm Totem, Ignaffar, Judgment and Doom Bolt - all also deal vitality damage, either by default or via transmuters (or in Judgment’s case, via a modifier on this very item). Seems fine to me.

>every modifier gives chaos dmg to skill or completely converts it’s original damare into chaos
>not a chaos off-hand

Seems just about right

Yeah, thought that Judgment was converted into chaos. Welp that concludes that FG just dont have any good pieces for chaos nuker

This is what i came up lately. With a forgotten gods version on top of it.

I will edit a post and add a troll build with 25 player scaled pets
9 from devo, 5 sand devils, 5 blood knight, 3 storm spirit, 3 cinderwinds
All with either bleed damage or ele->vit damage

Damn, now I need to kill the superboss to make these builds.

Diviner’s Vision + Bysmiel’s Trinkets should be interesting (two heals!),
Regarding pet items with +bleed damage i am not too optimistic as Ghol Set should be broker in order to equp the medal so i doubt it can work, but it never hurts to try in any case.

Retaliation Drain Essence Death Knight

first Sketch: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/q2mWjQ5Z

Build around the Avatar of Order Amulet (+40% of Retaliation Damage added to Drain Essence + better AoE)

240k Retaliation Damage without procs. 40% of that is still a lot of Flat Damage!

Issues:
-no useful Resistance Reduction
-low OA (all that built-in Crit Damage from Drain Essence is wasted atm)

Question: Does Total Damage affect Retaliation Damage?

Retaliation Drain Essence seems to be pushed by the devs in this expansion. The main problem I have with this strategy is energy sustain. I already had problems with my DE Apostate, with an Off-hand. In a mastery with no energy support, this will be problematic at first glance.

I wonder why the only 2H weapon with Spin-to-Win modifier is a %CDR scytne? w/o any modifiers =( https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8800
Mercy, plz.
