[Forgotten Gods] What we know about the Oathkeeper skills

I think it was Adoomgod that made that funny Sonic the hedgehog video with broken EoR scaling off run speed

IIRC it was scaling off Attack speed, hence the ridiculousness.

You made 200% AS and stack specific procs that added up. Like Belgothian sigil

Nope.

That means it was the Total speed procs from the likes of Belgo sigil that added to the run speed and the whole mess

Oathkeeper is a skill point hungry motherfucker. I already don’t like this mastery because I teorycrafted few builds, or rather skill trees and I ended up at 30 - 69 missing skillpoints…

Fuck this mastery, gonna probably avoid it as much as possible.

plan your builds by subtracting 4 to 6 skills points invested in some of your desired OK skills for now. Soft cap only your main Attack stuff and auras like Virtue. It’s closer to the real thing this way

I am currently theorycrafting a fire melee Oathkeeper.
Is it correct that Righteous Fervor doesn’t actually have any flat fire damage? It has physical and burn damage. Also with the Retribution bonus you get +% fire. I find it weird that this mastery has so many +% fire damage bonusses, but doesn’t actually have fire in Righteour Fervor. Or is it maybe missing in Grimtools?

Because right now I’m trying to figure out if I choose Righteous Fervor or Fire Strike for my fire melee character. But I want to avoid investing more than 20 points into Demolitionist mastery.

Yes that’s correct.

Yes

…and don’t worry about it. Theory craft to your hearts content;)

I think it’s more a case of greed. It’s a new class we are not familiar with yet and so it’s understandable to want it all.

On another note we still don’t know how many extra skill/stat points FG will give the player right?

I would wait with demo theorycrafting until game hits live- not having a reliable resistance reduction is ahuge nerf. I would say, for fire, use oauthkeeper 2.0 with inquisitor, for that sweet 66% fire RR right off the bat. N+O and 99 rr.
Im considering a tank warlord to finish some tank&spank content like raveger / mogdrogen. But inq+oauth may also be pretty tanky.
Or the sentinel build. Or acid dervish.

honestly theorycrafting without items is kinda nonsensical, especially now that every legendary sets and many other high level pieces of gear have skill mods. that said i see you have plenty of juicy builds ready to be shared after release.

Is there a bug with eye of reckogning on grimtools or what? I mean, that skill isnt able to proc any devotion at all.

Thats a bug, right? Does the devs said something about it?

Yeah, grimtools is messed up on account of not having the complete set of files since it doesn’t have gear and devotion updates yet. The oathkeeper skills can proc devotions in-game and grimtools will reflect that once it has access to everything.

Been trying to theorycraft a Poison/Acid build, and I’m curious about the following:

Why does ā€œDreegs Reproachā€ convert the following:
100% Physical Damage converted to Acid Damage
100% Fire Damage converted to Vitality Damage

But ā€œScion of Dreegā€ converts
100% Physical Damage converted to Vitality Damage
100% Fire Damage converted to Acid Damage

Is this supposed to be like that? Seems like there’s a lack of uniformity in this mastery.

Does ā€œAegis of Thornsā€ convert the burning portion of ā€œReprisalā€ to Poison?

ā€œPresence of Virtueā€ does Internal Trauma and Bleeding, which doesn’t really seem to fit in with theme of the ability. Your faith can make other people apply bleeds??? >_>;;

It seems like it’s for Oathkeeper to be established as a third acid class instead of a fourth vit class. Fervor converts phys to acid because most weapons deal phys. Even if you use a weapon with acid conversion but with phys damage, it’ll be a huge dps loss if the aa has phys to vit transmuter. And the community has been longing for an acid aa skill since vanilla. It’ll be a disappointment if it becomes vit-focused instead.

What does an Oathkeeper have to do with acid based attacks? I thought Oathkeeper was more a holy type tree?

But which god does the Oathkeeper serve? You need to expand your thinking.
