Forthcoming Forgotten Gods expac - what we know so far Part I

I really wish they would add 5 more devotion shrines and at least 5 more levels or I hope they do I should say.

Can i please have my two handed sword with focus on pierce damage and at least 50% armor piercing?

who do i have to bang to get it?

Been asking for 1 year now.

If they do it it’s gonna be 40% at best

Thread’s about what we know so far - not what we’d like.

Preserver Greatsword has 40%. Beats the old pre-expansion swords that had 18% and 22% substantially.

At 40% Armour Piercing, you’d only need Nadaan + 50% from elsewhere (such as a Blessed Whetstone / Sinister prefix).

I’d still kill for a 2-handed Derp MI though with a kickass skill mod.

It’s sad… people asking for a 2h sword with 50% armor piercing while Mythical Razorleaf Glaive cries in the corner with 80%…

Weapon without percentage damage is just not serious.

So are you?

I mean, there’s crit damage, shitloads of attack speed, +1 skills to 2 masteries (one with the most 2h support and one with the most pierce support) and you really wanna pick on that missing 300% or so damage when you’ll have 1500-2000% without it anyway?

Yeah, but still wanna moar :stuck_out_tongue:

At least give t flat pierce instead of bleed. Base dmg is also slow

I also thought about combo skills. For example imagine some extra pet if you play as a conjurer or a passive for a purifier that increases the radius size of all player skills by 1 meter or more.

I see no mention of a cinematic

I don’t mean to sound like a buzzkill but I don’t mind a delayed release if we get a cinematic. I mean this expac concerns the meta-plot and quite frankly with a name like “Forgotten Gods” I think it deserves a cinematic

There’s also the question of what triggers the expac? DC got attacked and that triggered AoM. Forgotten Gods would most likely be triggered by our Witch allies or our Aetherial Allies since only they have the power to sense the disturbance withing “the force”.

Let’s just hope the ending doesn’t involve Ulgrim getting sucked into some random rift

I can imagine the scene:
Ulgrim - “What, again?”, foul language and then like in Star Wars “Noooooooooo!”

Pretty sure we are going to be dealing with Korvaak and Empyrion, possibly with Uroboruuk. Plot twist: some of them got corrupted by Aetherials. And we mide side with Witch Gods who are going to ask us to deal with it.

I recall Zantai saying during the stream that Ulgrim will not feature in GDX2, so I think we can rest easy on that score.

That seems virtually impossible with Empyrion at least since he is a Primordial

Aetherials can’t possess Chthonians it seems unlikely they can suddenly possess Empyrion

Has the motivation why we go to the next xpac storywise been shared any light with?
Hints are there, but so far they are mostly “sidequest” level of importance.
Does the Devil’s Crossing get rekt again, do we possibly lose more NPCs?
Tbh the powerlever of our lone wand…accendant is getting bit out of hands, he/she has dealth with avatars and demigods so far so his story ought to be nearing end before it gets really out of hands with things he/can do.

No.

10 whatsits.

Ascension has no clear cut rules tbh

Ulgrim is on par with if not stronger than one of the strongest Chthonian entities and it’s not even clear whether he is an ascendant or not
Dreeg Ascended through the punishment handed down to him
Solael Ascended through the act of mass murder
Bysmiel’s Ascension happened through unknown means
Mogdrogen was made by Gods and in time was worshiped like one
Oleron also ascended by being reckless in battles
Then there’s the aetherials who are not Gods yet it has been implied that the stronger members of capable of Godly feats

It’s not abnormal to think of our feats in the game as ridiculous but when you look at it our progression makes sense
We didn’t kill the Loghorren in Act I, we progressed to that level pretty slowly, starting from the first zombie outside DC.

It’d be ridiculous to put us at the level of a Primordial as even The Ascendants and The Circle (likely) fear them. But put us on par with a few lousy Demi-Gods such as Lokarr seems fine to me.
I am hoping we’d get to kill the real Mogdrogen at some point, I know Witch God fight is on popular demand but I personally like The Three. That mutt however needs to be put down, he is far too arrogant.

On the topic of reason to go there, I think maybe Annie or Korinia would sense a disturbance in the aether. They will report it to Creed who will send us on the mission.
I don’t think anything dramatic needs to happen if our mission pertains to investigating Korvaak. As so far Korvaak has been pretty discrete, it wouldn’t make sense for him to bomb Fort Ikon or nuke Malmouth to say “Hi”

Zantai mentioned on the stream ulgrim wasn’t going to be a focal point and there were going to be no new cinematics.
