Forthcoming Forgotten Gods expac - what we know so far Part I

Shield with 1-H ranged would be a very cool concept, though wondering if shield throwing is a bit PoE?

TQ defense mastery basically

Aegis set?

I want some explosive stuff. Something like Torchlight2 engineer .

We’ve got explosive stuff - it’s callled Demolitionist.

I tried to find any + skill to mastery to the set but cant find any on it xept +1 to all skills. could it be a hint? oh wait wait I will not bother too much thinking is no good cause I remember this cataclysm set as well that is kinda of similar to it:undecided:

regarding tq defense mastery. We need it but with Crate magic juice poured into it:p. Grim Dawn needs more shield wps and putting it just on item mods is just basically missing lot of potential

My guess is the new game mode will be some portal that uses skeleton key, allows you to pick or assigns any of the existing skeleton key dungeons, but it will be a “shattered” version of it with true randomizer involved. Them saying the new mode does something people don’t expect of this engine is what made me think this.

I really hope that happens, that would make this game really shine for farming and breaking things up.

I like this idea Naiko.Maybe they can also assign mutators like in the crucible and higher rewards for more mutators.
in the end it must be in the same level of difficulty and reward/hour as the crucible to be fair.

Zantai said we’ll meet the loading screen girl in the next expansion, and that she isn’t lore friendly… Maybe she’s involved with this new game mode in some way?

Besides what we are to get would a macro to lmb be a horribly time consuming thing to add?
For us less nimble ones beign able to bind a attack chain, like cadence-cadence-blade arc under a single key would be a real QoL thing.

I do really want a shield wps skill. We have a shield skill that scales with cast speed (Forcewave) and cooldown reduction (Blitz), but no shield skill that I know of scales with attack speed. It seems like the obvious addition.

Also, there are no celestial constellations which require more than ten Chaos or Order affinity (which is very different from the other 3 affinities), so I wouldn’t be surprised if expansion constellations were related to these two affinities.

Before AoM released, I remember being told that my idea of a Necromancer was similar to one of TQ’s masteries (Spirit or Dream I think?) as well. Perhaps I should play TQ one of these days

I’d like one that’s usable at endgame as well. That I know, there is currently one in the game but It’s not great.

Edit: Technically, the Aegis set’s Stun Blast/Oathbreaker count as well even though they do not explicitly say a shield is required but they don’t deal damage with your Shield.

Probably Spirit. And yes, you should.

Hard to say, I feel like everyone should play TQ for sure, but it’s really hard to play it (for me) now after playing games like GD or PoE which feel so much smoother and responsive than TQ, which is very clunky and slow in comparison. That said, it’s still an incredible experience to say the least.

I can relate to that Asylum101. I think that’s why I found D2 so awful, having tried it after playing TQIT for a while. It was like a major step backwards in a lot of respects.

If anyone tries TQIT/AE for the first time they do need to realise that and make allowances. But the AE version does give you a normal, fast and very fast option when playing so that might liven things up a bit.

For me, since I’ve never stopped playing it switching between GD and TQIT isn’t a problem.

TQ hasn’t aged that well, I played a bit when I got the AE for free but was turned off by the awful relic crafting mechanic. Those one time scrolls are the worst. It’s little things like that that make me appreciate the progress that has been made since.

Well, it was Medierra’s decision eventually to change the components. The fanbase voted to keep them as they were originally with varying completion bonuses same as in TQIT.

I don’t craft in either game, but I’d say GD’s improved on TQIT’s crafting - but it’s still a pain to get all the ingredients you need in both games. So many Relics/Artifacts needed to make more Relics/Artifacts. It’s not really too difficult to build up a stock of scrolls.

definitely fun posts here …

But the bottom is when are we going to have this ?

the Death Run

Maybe when the 1.0.6.0 patch is out. We might get some Grava Runs then.

Zantai_GD :alright
Zantai_GD :I’m not gonna make this easy for you guys though
Zantai_GD :follow the clues of the secret quest
Zantai_GD :and find grava
Zantai_GD :good luck!

Does anybody know what this is supposed to mean or what the context of this statement is/was?

Grava just gave you guys the screenshot cause he’s a pushover.
