Funny Story

So I started playing this game about a week or two ago. I was impressed by the reviews that I read online so I decided to try it out myself. I’m very glad I did coz the game is legit good. I am a long time Diablo gamer (since '94 or '96) and always supported them from the very beginning. My friend is a dev over there but that’s just a bonus.

Today, I posted in their forum about how great this game is and of course, the fanatics started stirring something up that I am trying to convert them or whatnot. Lol That made me laugh…and realized how many toxic people are playing that game. I mean I am an avid fan of the franchise but if the people who plays the game are as toxic as those guys who have over 9k posts over there, forget it…lol It was very evident that their opinion is the only thing that matters and what they say should be the golden standard.

Anyway, I am not hating on anybody. Just a funny experience from people who are usually brave behind the keyboard. Games are meant to be enjoyed and people are entitled to their own opinion. I guess not everyone over there got that memo. :joy:

More power to the devs of this game. Thanks for making a legit arpg like this. I’ll take the heat for you if that’s what it takes to tell the truth.

Glad you’re enjoying the game.
I myself bought it on a whim some years ago. Never played an arpg before, wasn’t sure this was fun, but thought: “What the hell, it’s on sale and I’m bored. Let’s try it!” 1200 hours later and I’m still playing

And one of the best things about this game, apart from the game itself is that the community is very helpful and friendly. Really one of the better one’s I’ve seen online. :+1: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: for all of you!

That turns me off about the Diablo community. There are people there that feels like they know it all and their opinion is the only thing that matters. Sometimes I’m thinking if they’re still in elementary school (the way they act or react) or if those are the devs trying to pretend to be players so they can defend their product.

Anyway, I also just realized that Diablo 4 copied the ideas of the shattered realm (Pits in D4) and Crucible (Hordes in D4). Obviously this came out first so I am guessing that some of them played this game and took the good stuff from here and applied it to their game and claimed it as their own. I may be wrong on this assumption but it seems very evident that they did copy the idea from here.

Overall, the game is really good and it should be the standard for all arpg. I wish they add some mount to expedite the travel. In SR, I hope that we can also choose the level that we want to do and not be limited with 70, 80, and 90. I would love to see more endgame content coz I am approaching it and I want some varieties apart from the crucible and SR.

Well, people say that SR was copied from D3’s Greater Rifts so …

You can go further in SR if you can manage it. A specialised team even beat SR a little while back.

And I assume this has translated over to the new higher Waystone.

Yeah I thought about that. I played hundreds of hours in GR in D3 and that was fun too.

As far as endgame, I can only see two things to do here - crucible and SR. That’s why it would be nice if there are other things to do to add some variety in the game. I just finished the crucible and my first character survived til the end. SR, I only managed to clear 90 :joy: so there’s still work to be done there but would love to do something else too.

There are also nemesis-es (?) which are a bit stronger than the bosses you encounter in the campaign and special celestial bosses which are a lot tougher.

They’re also working on a new expansion which should increase the challenge for the main campaign so it’ll be more enjoyable to play through with a lvl 100 character.

And you can craft hundreds of different builds, which I find the most fun (that and whacking enemies).

I encountered some nemesis but that’s not engame stuff unless you’re talking about something different. Also, where can I find celestial bosses? You’re not talking about celestial in SR right? I’m still trying to learn the lingo and the game so please bear with me :joy:

I do agree that the builds are fun. I like the fact that there are so many builds that you can do (mix and match). I actually made 5 characters at first with different builds. so far, I’m liking 3 of them and will probably change the other two haha still need to level all of them up tho. The constellations are kinda confusing at first. I found out later that you can refund some points and put it somewhere else.

Do we have a release date on the expansion? I know it’s this year but couldn’t find an exact month. I hope they add more content.

Not this year, pushed back to 2025.

Oh…I read wrong lol thanks for your prompt reply.

Yep I think they’re great

Different places, half of them are secrets. The easier to find ones are Ravager (requires you to be friendly with Barrowholm) and Mogdrogen (You need to collect a few items). You can talk to them and will get an answer that says “attack”, which will start the fight (and then I die). There are more, but not sure I should spoil it all in your first week

Early next year from what I understand.
