Game deals

Considering the game is 6 years old, the fact that every time STEAM puts it on sale it jumps instantly to the top sales list, most websites give it very good reviews in terms of ARPGs, (the only bad reviews for it are the ones from when it was first released, when the reviewers couldn’t figure out how to play the game after disabling the tutorial /facepalm), and according to some sales charts, it’s sold well over a million copies since ILE shut down.

It really is surprising that more people don’t have it already considering all these things. People who played Torchlight, most of them went BACK to Titan Quest, all the people I knew who played TQ did that. “OMG A NEW ARPG, Torchlight will be revolutionary!” Not even a week later, back to Titan Quest.

Titan Quest is THE ARPG if you want a good ARPG to enjoy. Thus far imo it has trumped every other ARPG and most of the people I know agree with me on that fact and like me, have recommended it to everyone of their friends and family. I personally have gotten 6 people to buy it and LOVE it based on recommendations. So again, it surprises me that it can still make sales.

Probably the younger generations are trying it out. Or people who got bored playing Blizzard games. Who knows.

steam sale US $3.39
this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_Tactics:_Brotherhood_of_Steel

not the third person shooter thing which was generally regarded as horrible.
which would be: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout:_Brotherhood_of_Steel

the tactical one with strong rpg overtones. bears a certain resemblance to xcom on the production side apparently. one the ones that went back and forth a couple of times and kept having features updated. also almost wasn’t published. as much as it says tactics it feels a lot like the more traditional rpg variants.

also apparently available with elders in package for $6.79.

I actually liked the 3rd person one, it was a simple hack and slash that put an interesting twist on the FO series.

Anyone want a 75% off Portal 2 coupon?

Yea I’ve got one too, and so does everyone I know…they also own Portal 2 as well so it does none of us any good. -_-

I have 75% off Portal 2 coupon too, if anyone wants, just PM me. Hurry up though, it’s valid till the 30th of August.

I’m not looking for one of those… but if anyone has one of the keys for Steam Community Beta Access, that they are not going to use, I’d love to have one of those…

I looked into this and to get in, you need the Pillar of Community badge. While obtaining every step towards this is quite trivial (except maybe the video upload part), there is this inane facebook requirement, which I am religiously opposed to…So I guess I will miss out on that.

Plus, it was not entirely clear if they already have their 50k members that can fathom touching facebook or not yet. I sadly assume that they do.

I am curious though what you get access to in this beta.

Anyway, not a lot of game deals at the moment, sorry for bending this thread OT, if there are too many more posts about this, I will spawn a new thread.

For anyone that missed it during the Summer Sale, all Mount & Blade games are 75% off on Steam right now.

I have never played M&B but RPS keeps talking about it and the reviews are quite good. Would you recommend just getting Warband or the entire pack (4 games)? I have read a bit about it, but still am sort of in the dark as to what these games are like.

Just get Warband IMO…it’s the most complete package and totally replaces the first game (and adds multiplayer). I haven’t played the last two games but from what I read most of it is based on existing mods as it is.
