it’s literally avg rolls then - are we now (attempting?) to move the goal post that even avg rolled endgame builds/avg rolled versions of top20 would be considered “too unrealistic”??
it does matter and you are wrong and deflecting from your nonsensical Unicorns statement.
But funnly enough i have farmed one of the top 20 SC build, check my N&O sabo , no gd stash just about 100-200 hours of farming over multiple years
And a little secret: the better your build gets while farming items, the faster farming becomes
Okay you’re right. My bad. I’ll just go back to my non-yoyoing pet builds. That I can build and farm myself and that only require finding one copy each of BIS items. Thanks.
i dont understand why you are so emotionally invested in this. Noone wants to tell you how to have fun. If you have trouble playing DW nightblades thats fine, maybe you could ask for advice eh? but just stating that these build are all “Fantasy Builds” is just insulting for the creators.
Lol no. See the back half of what you didn’t quote for proper context of my post.
No one’s moving anything. If I even followed guides, I would only follow them as far as getting the item and not the rolls. Then if I failed at it I would view the problem as me. Hence my comment on “human beings”.
Lol yes and you are still wrong my dude. A litterall unobtainable build is not the same as a well optimized one. The second half is just you inducing your belive in what ever a new player is like which i will not entertain.
Nope fail again. But that’s fine. I am not here to argue about the habits of human beings.
I’ve already answered the issue in this thread. 0 seed = impossible.
There are videos of what the build can do. If 5% = average rolled items…then the thread is made moot. What’s left are humans and their ability to pilot and understanding the game. As seen below:
If you want your character to be fully optimized no matter the quality of the item dropped maybe you should play a game with less random loot? Rerolling a set piece, finding it as a drop, perpetually looking for a slight upgrade is the normal path through ARPGs
The loot generated for the top20 builds are simulated as if a seasoned player has played it for many hours. I know that Mad_lee usually puts a disclaimer in his builds stating it is an endgame build and not necessarily usable to level / farm with
If you feel the builds are unrealistic cause they require farmed gear you are looking at the wrong lists, beginner and leveling builds will most likely suit you better, and then maybe with that build you can farm what you need to get a top20 build going
maybe i misunderstood you then cuz this:
and this :
I 100 % agree with. Getting over yourself and properly learn how to pilot a certain build will increase your dps way more than any max rolled item ever will.
The performance of a build with all avg rolls is smth more of a mind palace dream lying on a couch on your porch on a sunny day. If I understood it correctly you can’t spawn exactly “avg” copy of an item. And if you spawn 1 copy of each item of your build to try and replicate “average performance” you’d be vulnerable to big rng swings, and might even get couple of those “fantasy” items randomly and then be blamed of using them to create a fantasy build.
And even if you could in fact make all items with avg rolls and play all builds like that - it would never be an even playing field for builds because some builds depend on the rolls much more than the others, the most common being dependant on OA rolls to have good enough procing chance of all those “on crit” things.
So in this case the test would gatekeep some builds from their desired performance. Whereas in our testing system platforms that depend on good items and rolls to be competitive actually have those good items and rolls and then have it reflected in gear score.
Naw not on you. I was not very clear so I apologize.
What I should have said was what you quoted recently plus getting “exactly” the item rolls for the trickster = unicorn. Getting within 5% as @Gnomish_Inquisition has stated is a very real thing and what’s left for the player to achieve is the skill/knowledge to achieve the performance in the video(s). Again, sorry about that.
I think you have some valid points with the others but I kinda disagree on this one. I see this the other way around.
To explain, people here are always good about linking the large Beginner’s Guide in replies to these questions and there is a separate thread “How to level the Top20 builds.” Yet, I can’t count how many times I’ve seen posts (mainly on reddit) that go roughly like this: “I’m following [build guide] and I don’t understand why I’m getting wrecked.” This usually follows with them linking their GT which has negative resistances and almost none of the gear listed in said build guide.
My point is that there are plenty of resources available for newer players to achieve these shiny baubles but at some point you have to give them some agency to figure things out for themselves without too much hand holding.
That said, my own beginner guide is sorely out of date (but I’m finally working on it now!)
Ugh, so much useless verbage over something that’s readily obvious if you play the game enough.
Anyhow, about the only things that GD Stash are absolutely needed for are Conduits, which are horrible to make to try and get the right roll and gear with damage conversion if high damage conversion is needed. Otherwise it’s excellent for testing out a build idea when you can’t be bothered hunting for all the gear in the stashes.
For everything else, it’s not needed as usually you can get rolls with the needed stats just from farming.
Because in game the differences aren’t going to be all the noticeable. Hell, the only stats you’ll usually have any difference with are attack and cast speed if they’re not overcapped significantly.
top 20 dad gamer builds when?
I’m still waiting for SOMEONE less lazy than myself to step up.
And it’s done!
