Just wanted to say thanks for releasing on GOG for DRM-free fans.
I hope it sells well.
Yup, each is own taste, some prefer confort and other prefer freedom.
So, freedom is not comfortable? You kind of misworded your phrase.
Interesting, I have the same issue. I have the KS Officer’s medal, but should be Backer’s Distinction. I also submitted a ticket but haven’t received a response yet.
I just purchased another Loyalist Edition and did not receive a gog key just a steam key do I still need to contact humble to request a gog key?
Yeah, I think you still have to request the GOG key. I’m not sure why it’s like that. I thought they were going to be able to make it a choice for new purchases but it sounds like they weren’t able to make it work that way.
Seriously, how many years are people going to keep trying to debate with one another about GOG vs. Steam. Whatever your preference is, great, no need to have a discussion about it in a support thread or try to convince other people of your views. Please refrain from such posts here as it’s counter productive.
That’s not true: The posts about validity of GOG are deleted, while not many about the greatness of Steam.
Sure you’re at home, you can do as you want.
Did you upgrade to more expensive Kickstarter tier by any chance? Trying to figure out if you got the wrong key, or a Kickstarter DLC instead.
If you upgraded a tier, you would only get one medal. Which package did you purchase? Did you get any medal or no medal?
Yes, you would get the Kickstarter pledge medal.
If you purchased a copy before KS (seems that you did), you should receive a Backer’s Distinction, yes.
Did you upgrade to a Kickstarter tier during the campaign?
I had one epic and one legendary copy. Both got upgraded to the $98 or so tier during the KS (the one where you got 2 game copies each)
I got the KS Officer medal, but assumed the Backer medal would be either there as well or instead for being more ‘valuable’ / rare
Has the “high resolution digital game map suitable for use as a wallpaper or to print out for your wall.” already been released or is that something we can expect to be released with the crate story?
Yes. 2/2010 I started as Epic ($32?). Then 3/2012 upgraded to Legendary (+$16.50?). THEN 5/2012 backed KS for the difference (+$52) to the boxed version for a total of $100. Happy to move to support email if that’s better than the forum.
So, Humble got back to me and says it’s Crate’s responsibility.
I purchased the Legendary Edition back in 2010, upgraded to Loyalist in 2015. Got the Loyalist DLC. Don’t have the Legendary Accessory.
Hello,
I bought the Loyalist Edition in October 2015 - it’s my only version of Grim Dawn.
The last days I tried to activate my keys again, but nothing happened, I haven’t got the ingame items like Will’O the Wisp.
I got two codes in my Humble Bundle Link:
1.) Grim Dawn
2.) Grim Dawn Loyalist DLC
When I’m using the first key, then comes “you already got this game” (the German version of it).
With the second key I can’t go on with the installation (because of the DLC I think).
But what does that mean? Do I have to wait for the DLC to get my ingame items?
Then I wrote a message to the support, which haven’t read my full Mail:
he sent me a link to Humble Bundle which can give me the link with the two keys back although I wrote that I got the link and keys.
Now I tried to delete Grim Dawn from Steam and install it again (with the first key, the second still doesn’t work).
I got the shitiest internet you can imagine and now I’m waiting, it makes me unhappy and I don’t want to use “GoG” instead of Steam.
What can I do when I got no ingame items after this installation? (Edit: Of course it was a total waste of time)
Greetings
You didn’t need to re-install the game. You already had everything you needed. Basically the Early Access keys ended up being the keys for the released game.
For the DLC key, you need to add it into the Steam client, just like you were adding a game where you got a Steam key. See this article: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5414-TFBN-1352
Once you’ve done that, launch the game and then go to NPC standing to the left of Luther Graves. Talk with that NPC, Kory. There are a number of dialog options, each should give you one of the DLC items.
Thank you very much, ibugsy.
I looked at so many posts for “my problem” and haven’t realised, that I got no problem.
The NPC gave me the items.
Greetings
I’m still waiting to hear back from Humble (it’s been a week now) about my GOG key.
Quite frankly, I’m really starting to get annoyed now. I think I’ve been very patient and understanding.
But if this isn’t resolved by the end of next week, I honestly think I’ll have to start asking for a refund.
I don’t particularly want my $70 back in cash, but I’d be happy to accept store credit from GOG. Then I can buy the damn game again and I’ll have some left over for some other games.
As it is, I’m currently playing the pirated version of Grim Dawn. Which annoys the heck out of me. Because I shouldn’t be forced to use pirated software when I’ve already paid for the game!
But the pirated version can’t be updated, nor can I download any expansions for it. So I want the full legit game!
At this point I don’t care about backer rewards or anything else. I just want the damn game!
If you don’t hear back soon, contact us at [email protected] with the relevant info and we’ll help look into the matter.
Hi,
I am not sure if anyone is as blur as myself and had asked similar question. I bought the game during early access and started playing via steam. However, I don’t remember where I bought the game from, I think it is from Grim Dawn website. I can’t remember which email account I used during the purchase as I can’t seems to find the receipt or anything relevant in any of my emails.
So, the big question is, will Crate be able to trace my purchase and my entitlement to the GOG key if I provide the name on my credit card I used to purchase the game?
Thank you.
During Early Access you could buy the game from Steam, the Humble Store and Crate - the latter has still been operated by the Humble Store, so Crate does not have any of your data (I believe). Try all of your email addresses on https://www.humblebundle.com/resender until you receive a link for your game key. Summon their ninjas, if you require further help.
