Good pet based HC build anyone would recommend?

I want to play around with a pet based build. I know there are a few but anyone recommend one that might be a bit more durable with decent DPS still? My reflexes aren’t the greatest so being able to take a hit is important.

Also, fewer buttons to press is good as well. I don’t think I am a fan of the skeletons cause it seems like that have to be resummoned a lot, and was kind of leaning to maybe Shaman/Occultist as it seems Shaman would help with survival and Occultist has Curse of Fraily which I can run around and spam.

Any highly receommended durable build would be greatly appreciated though!!

Hi, I’m playing HC, and here’s my build that I used to complete the entire game and defeat all the bosses. The build is very resilient.

If you don’t have the
Mythical Heart of the Sand King, you can wear the
Mythical Heart of the Mountain.
And don’t worry about your pets’ resistance to elements, penetrating damage, and poisons; they are well-protected thanks to their auras.

conjurer is always my goto recommend for simple HC pets
Could do Blightfiend-Briar ritualist, but tbh the occultist heal/Blood of Dreeg sorta makes conjurer way more chill levelling imo, and Necro would carry couple more buttons anyway.

for levelling tips we have this 🔰 Beginner Build Compendium - 126 guides for AoM & FG expansions

Maya has made some extra chonky builds for endgame, not fastest killers on the planet, but very safe and comfy imo (got me my first HC superboss kill for FG back in the day) The Carnival - A Guide to Pets

no, pets need resists just like player, or they take extra dmg and you end up having to need to resummon them more, which can end up detrimental if they start taking so much dmg from such low resist they die before cooldown is ready. So one should def glance at the pet stat sheet in page 2 once in a while

In Grimtools, pet resistances are displayed incorrectly, and buffs such as Storm spirit, oak skin, and Aspect of the Guardian increase pet resistances but are not displayed in Grimtools. In fact, all pet resistances are equal to or greater than 80%, except for penetration damage, which is around 60+%. And yes, the pets in my build are as durable as the character itself.

yes, wasn’t referring to your build(i’m aware how GT works), but the statement,
it’s very important to keep the distinction in mind, specially during levelling, and not get lulled into a sense of pet res not being a thing, of a glanced specific context mention(then not applicable outside that very specific context/final build setup).

Should you have shitty drop like no bloodsworn or Zaria drops their MI, you can try something like this
