Grand Plaza improvements

Grand plaza are very pretty and give a nice boost to desirability. But they are just a large stone wasteland where nothing happens except for villagers standing and staring at nothing. It would be nice if there were occasional random “events” happening on them that last a maybe a month or so. They don’t affect gameplay at all, just something interesting and fun to look at. Examples might be…

A pop-up market of small stalls/tents with people browsing
A crowd of villagers listening to an orator
Small groups of villagers socializing
Villagers circled around a show watching musicians, jesters, or acrobats
A little fair with booths, spinning rides, and skill games like an archery range, skittles, or ring toss

I realize this is going to be a low priority item compared to the other upgrades that need to be done, but perhaps it can be filed away for future consideration.

What if you could spend gold to “sponsor” events? The more you spend the greater effect it has on desirability. Ignore it, forget it, it falls into ruin, and so do the buildings nearby.

Nice ideas for the grand plaza, would love to see the musicians etc.

In a similar vein I’d like the theatre to be a bit less sterile with people milling around and entering and exiting the building for a show. The upgraded theatre is gorgeous btw.

Great ideas that I support. In general, the decoration/culture buildings could all use some animations and mechanics to them. The theater and plazas are the obvious ones.
