This is definitely one of my favorite games. I hope for the 1.1 release you consider the following:
**Curved Walls ! **
-
Utilize the path system for walls - Tier 3 upgrade to battlements guards can walk along from tower to tower. It’s frustrating having all that ranged power in guard towers sitting useless during a raid when out of range.
-
The aesthetics of the current walls leave a lot to be desired. Feels very SimCity 1.0. Also having to double up the walls looks awful. The graphics everywhere else are just so darn good and when you do a walk through with the UI off, you do feel lost in a Medieval town until you see those walls.
Trading Post Overhaul.
-
To grow beyond 400 we need standing purchase orders once we have paper, not just request something each time a trader appears. The level of micromanagement is just not fun. Oh, and can we sort?
-
Define Supply Chain. Designate routes for wagoners.
-
Deep Mines were a huge let down. They definitely feel like an afterthought. The combination of the the minimal tools to change the terrain, the really poor output of the mines, and the lack of a supply chain make them almost useless.
-
Please Recycle Iron - yeah, tools wear out, but the constant demand for iron while perhaps realistic, it’s not fun. Where do all those discarded tools go? They don’t compost.
-
Desirability is very wonky - no desirability for security. Villagers in my main settlement never see the face of a Raider. Loss of desirability should give us a few years to readjust, not a few months when you relocate a building.
-
Rivers would be great - very strange design choice not to start with them, as so many cities started along a river.
All comments made in the spirit of improving a really great game !
