Zantai said at the end of last month there was a couple of months’ work still to do on the expansion and then it’ll need testing. So, all being well, end of July to finish the work and then however long it takes to get the testing done and dusted.

for sure a q3 release, because poe content will hit in july… after it they have to wait for the hype train… my guess is september and maybe a august release, they would be stupid to release it in the poe timeframe! i dont like crates marketing politics because they say they dont know the release date of the expansion but they do^^ they dont have a marketing behind his development thats why titan quest failed the first time it was released… Really sad. Iam in love with grim dawn but i hate bad communication and marketing. They could generate alot more people with official trailers and teasers… And guys wtf is this twitch stream… boring. Show some progress of the development, no spoilers but something to hype for.
iam a old fanboy of grim dawn and i want to see something new to the development team. the game is awesome! Now try to bring us “fresh meat” and something to be hyped for!

and i really want to preorder the expansion but nothing… ya i can buy the big version here on this site but the most people have it on steam… put some shit to it like some transmogs and sell it and get money

Not sure it actually ever is - I know of no game where the teaser made a positive difference wrt me being interested and buying it
you preordering it now makes no difference wrt when it will be available, so you need to be patient either way
There might be reasons for it to not be on preorder yet. Maybe there are some technical reasons why it cannot be up for preorder or it can only be in prorder for a month or so. Maybe bringing it up for preorder generates some buzz and now is still too early and will die down too soon…
I think their communication to the fans at least is very good. Every couple of weeks we get insights into their development thoughts and efforts with Grim Misadventures. I have never watched the stream live but have heard of some interesting stuff being reported. It’s significantly better than most dev studios.
I don’t think they have a specialised marketing department do they? It’s hard to say how many more copies they would sell if they advertised heavily but they have gained a decent PC following and now I understand XBox have chased them so they are going OK.

I dont see what poe have to do with grim dawn, and alot dont play poe me included i think its an ugly game, with bad loot system and the currency destroy the game. (have played it 700 hours) but after no progression gear wise I leaved.
If they turn out to get released around same time alot will still buy and play Grim Dawn.
They are 2 different games, and grim dawn is better than poe in so many ways, so I dont see it as a problem for Grim Dawn.
It takes time to get the best gear in Grim dawn but at least you get it without having to trade insane amount of currency compared to poe.
Crate dont throw out content nonstop, they are instead making a good and fair game and focus more on ballance and quality of there game.

Thoughts? What thoughts? All the GMs I’ve seen have skipped over any kind of “Why”, and just showed a " What". I see more explanation in patch notes, and those are just single sentence explanations for only some of the changes. Crate doesn’t really share “Why”, at least not since I’ve been here. Perhaps they once did.

No I dont you also dont have a clue how many from other games playing Grim Dawn. Grim dawns future is not desided by PoE players.
I know alot players from Blizzard games that also play Grim Dawn and not PoE.
Then play PoE, im tired of that game being compared to all other games in this genre, its really not that great a game tbh.
I have also played Grim Dawn since very early beta, and still think its alot better game than PoE.
I know we all have different taste in games, but we are in 2017, Grim dawn dosnt look a game from the 90´s.
If the games comes out same time just play PoE and Grim Dawn after or other way around no big deal, they dont run anywhere.
But i doubt they come out same time i think Grim Dawn will come alot later, since we havent seen much from the expansion yet beside the wednesdays look into it. I think we have to w8 until 2018 or very late 2017.

In my opinion both are the best Hack&Slays you can get at the moment, they are fantastic, but different, and that´s good.
