As states on the Steam store page for xpac, looks like the Illusionist is account wide (but I think with same restrictions between SC and HC):
“Transform Your Appearance – A brand-new Illusionist Service NPC enables you to transform the appearance of your equipment and customize your ideal look! Draw upon every item in your collection across all characters!”

I hope they have some kind of visual enhancement for wearing complete mythical sets. Aside from stat bonuses, I wish games in general would give some kind of set completion visual enhancements… glowing, wings, horns, whatever…
Diablo II had this for some sets
- Necromancer - Trag’Oul Set transformed you into Ghoul/Witch (whatever that thing was)
- Rest of the classes simply got a shiny aura around them
- Assassin - never managed to complete the set so no clue
I understand that some people want this, but I absolutely dislike it.
What I would like are refinements of visual effects in the sense that every time you convert 100% damage of type X to damage of type Y, the color of the effect turns into that of damage type Y.
Yup, nothing wrong with looking at Diablo 2 for good examples. I just see items like the voidwalkers and wraithwalkers items and how cool they are. Especially with this illusion system, it seems that for those whom appreciate the aesthetics / look of their characters having those kinds of out of the ordinary effects add a big appeal. I remember the brief period I played PoE that there was a pair of boots that would leave bloody footprints… those things were bad ass.

I just realized that expansion requires DirectX 11. Unfortunately my videocard does not support it (yes I know, it is time to have a new computer).
So, my question is, if I download the xpac, will I be able to play the base game or not?

Loyalist Edition buyers from way back got a timely update to Humble. GOG was actually faster than Steam to publish the DLC. I was surprised.
I have the Loyalist Edition that I bought on Crate’s Website and applied my code of the base game on GOG, what should I do to receive the AoM Expansion’s code and apply it on GOG?

I’m in the same situation as you. I went on GOG and they want me to purchase it. Shoudn’t they recognize that we have the Loyalist Edition automatically?
I also checked on Humble Bundle and there’S notheing there also.

Do you think the Loyalist key includes the expansion so GOG will eventually update my game automatically, or do we need a specific Expansion key?

Key should be there, mine is. Contact Humble support to see if they can sort it out.
