Grim Dawn is coming to Xbox!

It should be running off 1.1.9.3 (which is currently the latest version)

(I’m also curious if KB/Mouse support is going to be included - just imagine all the poor souls who can’t afford the current inflated PC gaming hardware prices but want the TRUE Grim Dawn experience  )

I understand version parity is the goal.

But these two quotes might suggest, that we will get v1.1.9.4 for the release. Or Zantai was not that secretive, when he posted in the translation topic. :man_shrugging:

For that reason i am waiting to play on xbox. On my notebook I can only play base GD and with the soldier, physical damage, no special effects.

I have tested the xbox controller on steam, GD per controller is requires a lot of patience. Imagine organizing inventory, selecting skill and devotions, applying components, etc… Game play is ok, but the part of inventory management and build would be better by keyboard and mouse.

I have played almost exclusively with a controller since v1.0.3.0 went into testing. Yes, there is some tedium to inventory management, but you can get used to it. The trick is to switch efficiently between D-pad and Left Stick navigation. It takes some practice…

I also recommend to activate Auto Item Tooltips in the Interface options.

Is Japanese included in the release?
I’m not sure if I want to buy it because I’ve been fooled by the store’s Japanese support many times before.

I see no reason why the Japanese Translation (New) should not be included. I bet the translators will be rather sad, if their work is excluded.

There is one error with the list, though: Vietnamese is missing, although there is a current translation. Oversight at Crate’s end, or is MS not ready for the Vietnamese market?

I just put the time ahead to new Zealand started playing but this isn’t an unlocked fps. It’s 30 fps very much so. =(

What about controls, UI, visuals, online co-op performance…? Anything you can tell us?

Did you record any video?

Thanks!

Well it plays fine to be honest. I was looking where the loot filter was as on pc its in a different place. Loading time is very quick. Doesn’t support quick resume on the series X. Looks decent enough although a resolution bump would be nice in the future but the fps should be 60 fps on the new series X and s. That is my biggest gripe. It’s not unplayable mind you.

Online coop in didn’t try. I literally just turned it up and played for a couple a minutes and everything is there as in the pc.

All of this is my experience in the series X. Could be that loading takes longer on the Xbox one consoles of course

Thanks, mate! I own a Series S. I hope they add a 60 Fps. I mean, Victor Vran has it.

I hope the controls are better than when I played on PC, three years ago or so

I played a bit further and the fps seems to be better outside of devils crossing or it my mind playing tricks on me. Never mind what I said about the fps. Play and enjoy it. Like I said it plays perfectly fine and it’s awesome we can finally play this gem on a couch on a big TV screen. Thanks crate entertainment.

As for people asking about mouse and keyboard I just tried but doesn’t seem to work. Sorry. But controller plays great. It’s not the same I know but perhaps they can add it in the future

also tested it now, mouse and keyboard does not work.
but it’s easier to configure the control.

I’m going to play, I’ll talk about my experience later

I don’t see the option to change the game language.

Maybe it’s because I moved my xbox to New Zealand to play now.

Nice!

Well… I play on consoles EXACTLY because I want to play my games using a joystick.

Thanks once more for your feedback

Assuming it works as on PC, you cannot do that within a game session. Instead select Options from the menu screen, then download and enable the language of your choice:

You might also need to restart GD.

You don’t have these options. It’s quite simple

Maybe it’s because I moved my xbox to New Zealand to play now.
My language is Brazilian Portuguese

All configuration screens:

Yeah, I have no idea, how the Xbox works in this respect.

  • Is there a global language setting?
  • Or can you configure that for each game in some Xbox configuration menu?
