Grim Dawn needs skill MTX BAD!

I miss being able to purchase skill MTX from other game (wont say). It is so great to visually look at your skills when you played it before it is so satisfying to see the skill altered with more flare etc. The best part, I can support the game. I get the loyalty packs and stuff but I am all about changing eye of recking to be anything other than the weak version it is visually looks… very dated (dare I say old)…

Edit: it looks like the community is in uproar at the fact you can support the game if they added it, also no one seems to want new looking skills :upside_down_face: which I mean it’s okay because tbh besides like 5 or 6 skills a lot of them look and feel like they were made in 2010. You kiddos can be in denial all you want but it’s a fact other ARPG skills look better and you can buy better looking ones. It supports the game too!! Which everyone is against here. Lol wild community.

Path of Exile.

You can say Path of Exile.

Just keep playing POE if you want to buy mtx, that’s not what GD is nor will it ever be

Agreed, a MTX shop in GD or GD2 would make me jump ship. I don’t need my games trying to nickel and dime me for everything.

You support the game by buying the game. There’s enough predatory monetisation going on in the game industry already, I really don’t think us players need to be pushing for vfx microtransactions in a full priced game, leave that for free to play games like PoE. Worth mentioning that in PoE, you also often end up paying for something that actively hinders gameplay as some of the MTX nuke all visual clarity. So…no thank you.

We will likely do a Loyalist Pack the 4th after FoA, featuring another collection of baller armor sets.

We have no plans to branch out to other forms of MTX.

We can’t compare two games that have completely different approaches to the subject. In my opinion, this game is one of the few standout examples of the classic ARPG genre. The difference between them is like the difference between Doom-Guy and Doom-Slayer. They seem similar at first glance, but it’s easier to just briefly mention the similarities and move on rather than explain the actual difference.

I guess kids now-a-days are addicted to dual-wielding their mom’s credit cards, everything needs to be play to win or some type of instant gratification via microtransaction overload. I never did see the appeal in that type of gaming. Then again, different strokes…

I’m ready to pay right now

Where to send monies?!?

Buy the game for friends =D

Already did, I’m out of “Grim Dawn`less” friends as of now, those that were somewhat interested at least.

Well I think I can make more mule friends just to gift them GD, haha!

New expansion coming so you can buy them that too soon!

Grim Dawn needs skill MTX BAD, and “I need skill MTX BAD” are two very different things.

It looks like the community is in uproar at the fact you can support the game if they added it, also no one seems to want new looking skills :upside_down_face: which I mean it’s okay because tbh besides like 5 or 6 skills a lot of them look and feel like they were made in 2010. Lol wild community… So sad to see :see_no_evil:

Grim Dawn needs some emteexes real bad

You need to get some common sense at your nearest store.

The worst thing what has happened to gaming has partly revolved around just that… endorsing such thing is diabolical to say least.

Locking skill FX behind microtransactions is the lamest shit. Visual feedback is the one of the most important things in this genre, and yet some people are advocating to put a paywall behind it for a bunch of skill fx in a single player game.

If you want to support the game, you can do that now too, instead of buying 1 copy just by 10.

It’s a 10-year-old game, buddy, which started development around 15 years ago and is based on a 20-year-old engine, and yet the graphics have been updated and aged very well, and it is a pleasure to play. The combat is a lot more satisfying than LE, for example. If you want POE2, D4 graphics, skills, and combat, you will have to wait between 6 and 10 years when GD2 releases.
