Crate , for the love of god, do not remove weapon swap. Please! Everyone has his own play-style and preferred gameplay. Has existed since the dawn of the game and why remove it now? If some people feel too powerful, just DO NOT USE IT. Leave other gamers enjoy the game , as is! Not everyone is a master gamer.
Also being able to swap weapons, allows for some hybrid character gameplay, especially if not focusing on one or two specific damage type.

it’s an onslaught on onslaught.

i would not imagine it to be removed now, instead any offending interaction would just get patched out like it has before (summons etc), so if OSstack swap is deemed exploitable, stacks likely just get made to reset on swap eventually.

If the ā€œit’s too late to remove weapon swap nowā€ answer was there 8 years ago, i’d not expect it have suddenly gotten any less ā€œlaterā€ now

Hello,

thanks for your answer! Idid the update via galaxy! The problem is that the mentioned achievements are not unlocked on the serverside. (Krixelbrixel's profile on GOG.com) So the gog galaxy client tries it again and again.

Same here, no change in the achievements bug, showing 16+ from FOA on every start of the game, updated via the launcher.

Zantai has said several times update on GOG using the manual installers, not the Galaxy patches. Uinstall the game completely and reinstall it using the launchers and see if that fixes it.

Coming soon.

Don’t know whether possible, but atleast, make it that stacks are retained if weapon swapping - if dual wielding !

That’s not how it works.

Is Crucible still working for everyone? I’m getting a lot of Tags not found and can’t start a new run with existing or new chars

If this is your idea of solving bad performance ? I mean, yeah it will likely help, somehow. But not really adress new FoA related performance issues. Decals have been always in the game, the performance got way worse with FoA.Those issues haven’t been even ackowledged yet, let alone dealt with. Dissapointing.

Again, like I’ve suggested, why not make seperate toggle for GFX ? Even in this case, for decals ?
I don’t know tho, I don’t want to guess what’s causing the issues for me anymore. It’s futile, especially without any developer acknowledgement/help/support. This might not be solution, but more options are always nice.

Dude do you think Zantai makes this game himself?

Of course not, what kind of question is that ?

We found that decals on Wereraven’s abilities were the bulk of performance drop, which also plays a significant part in its visuals. So rather than changing it visually for every PC configuration, we made that part of the fx settings.

FoA areas have higher fidelity assets, yes. We are taking steps to optimize performance in Kurnhold, but besides that, there is only so much we can do for every hardware configuration.

If it’s wereraven’s decals only though, why change it for all the spell decals and bundle it into one setting ? Just thought the individual toggle here, as maybe in other cases, could be nice solution. I’m not suggesting you to bother with trying to optimise for very PC configuration, but there’s got to be some reasonable middle ground, I hope.

But fair. It’s just that the game runs significantly worse, especially in FoA areas, for me and some other players. Everything else is just me trying to guess and troubleshoot, which might be totally wrong.

Very nice to hear you are working on Kurnhold performace :+1: You are right with the HW variability. Grim Dawn specifically is very strange with this. There are many people with weaker HW than me that run it without any issues. But again, I hope some reasonable, middle ground solutions exist. Finding it might not be that reasonable though, I don’t really know, just trying to figure it out.

How is the altar intended to work in conjunction with item rerolling?

At the beginning of the expansion, I was able to set the altar to max increase chance of double rare MI along with pierce/bleed damage types, and craft myself several double rare MIs with the specific pierce/bleed affixes I wanted. Yesterday, I tried again to make some backup copies for seed rerolling, and I was getting nonstop magic rerolls that had nothing to do with pierce/bleed, which is both what my character’s build is, and what I had the altar set to.

I’ve combed through the patch notes that have been posted since, and I can’t find anything about changing this. Was the altar never intended to influence rerolling, and this was stealth fixed? Or should it be influencing rerolling, and this was unintentionally broken somehow? I hope it’s the latter. I was liking the idea of being able to fairly easily customize my items to how I want them, and having the long-term chase being high rolls on the stats, and ascended affixes.

Thank you for optimizing the game!

Love you Crate. Thanks for being awesome!!

Yup that seems to have done the trick. I just logged back in to GoG and started GD with no achievement pops, thanks for the heads up
