I ask the same thing as I have been trying to get it to even start through the Steam Client and I have tried everything I have found online to fix the Black Screen Issue and not starting up, but nothing is fixing the issue.
My other Steam games work, it is just Grim Dawn that is not. Do you have to have a particular DLC to Play the Updated game?
Sulking off to Titan Quest Immortal Throne Anniversary Edition:(
Having the foresight NOT to download one of your patches day-one, when the previous one has finally produced a semi-working product that only randomly crashes every 30-40 IS pretty savvy⦠like not jumping, in fighting games.
For real though - congratulations on 1.0.3.2.
It really does only crash every 40 minutes or so on average.
Iāve never understood people crashing while playing GD. One guy (streamer) always crashed every 6 hours, I only crashed once after playing 8 hours, but that was even when I was already exiting the game. My PC is actually weak - a random PC from 2011 with a semi good graphic card (not even a gaming PC, just a completely random one). I canāt crash even when I play 6 hours a day. I only get random lags sometimes, but thatās because of my PC being weak.
So yeah, I am either āextremely luckyā or your PCs are weaker than my. Also, I donāt believe in crashing every 30 - 40 (I assume minutes - you didnāt state what). So yeah, fix your PC or get a new one if you can afford one.
Not if your game freezes time to time. Also, opening the blacksmith lags my game for 3 - 15 seconds. If I had a gaming PC⦠I mean I should stop dreaming as for now.
I had 1.0.4.0 for about a week and 1.0.4.1 since. 10:02:31 total elapsed time and not a single glitch or crash. I know that doesnāt help those who are having issues, but I wanted to balance those facts with my experience. I want to say well done really.
The game got load of issue with Borderless mode and moving from one screen to another in a Dual Screen set-up based on my experience.
I was getting crash "on occassion in Multi-Player game* when you play from half the earth away that kind of stuff gonna happen.
I was getting regular crash when playing SP and moving from 1 screen to another (while rifting or to go check a specific map to help me remember my farm route). Not moving from 1 screen to another usually result in perfect flow
Contrary, I am fine in Borderless/window mode. I am getting issues in Fullscreen. Who knows why it is so different for different configuration. I am experiencing freeze sometimes but strange thing is that in my case freeze is more probable when I am trying to relieve system from unnecessary processes and then running the game - one or two freeze per hour. When I am running a numerous different thing in background then I can play hours without freeze.
Since weāre talking about crashes, I feel compelled to state I have never had an in game crash with GD. And I mean ever.
The game ONLY crashes at the character selection screen for me and it happens so rarely I havenāt ever reported it as a bug because I canāt replicate it. (Steam Game)
Try crucible with 2-3 friends with the extra spawn. From 130 wave and on there are so many creatures that it is guaranteed to crash.
Indeed on single player i almost never crash, portals crash and character select screen happens to me rarely aswell
+1 That I also never had any crashes. I am using GOG version. Yesterday I played multiplayer, upto level 170 in crucible. I have never experienced any crashes with lot of monsters mostly playing single player.
I am using it in 2 of my laptops one with intel Graphics other with Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1050ti. Both of them never had any crashes.
Guys, the random crashes arenāt related to tons of monsters and stuff like that. They just happen. You stop, pick up some items, start walking again, then black screen. Or you are just standing still in the city while you check something on your phone, then, black screen. Sometimes you use a rift to go from point A to poin B, black screen.
This is not a performance issue. Itās something else.
I saw some guys talking about drivers and stuff, ok, itās a theory. But to me, itās hard to believe that 2 different video cards, from different years, different manufacturers, running the game in different operational systems, having the same crashes, can be a drivers issue.
I send daily crash reports to Crate, from both computers. I believe that they are working on this and will present us a solution. And just to be clear, Iām not blaming Crate for anything, bugs are bugs.
His ability to heal an entire screen worth of mobs to full in seconds was cancer in vanillia and outright retarded in crucible, im very glad i dont have to deal with that anymore.
