I second that Ill miss from GI is having monster bars always on and having it show the bosses better w/o mousing over them. & I agree when you mouse over mob that is big. It can be smaller.
Loving the changes. I didn’t crash once tonight. Question do I still need to keep my resolution hardlocked at 60 fps or can I turn it up to 144 now?
New HUD enemy healhbar and name too big and need option to resize it. (1080p res)
I would recommend scaling down overall UI size a bit… just for laughs here is a comparison of the largest UI size to the smallest
I do agree the big health bar probably needs a slider independent of the overall UI though
Liking the new rendering option it’s bumped my fps up from about 35-140 to 50-180. It’d be nice to see the game more multi-threaded in the future as well to (hopefully) raise those minimums up further.
Also like the others I’m of the opinion that the hud hp bar for enemies is to big
I have been getting a very odd bug, but I haven’t seen it from anyone else. All enemies with healthbars have the text “Tag not found: tagHUDHealth_Head” hovering right above their Healthbars. I can’t imagine this is intentional.
Your rainbow tooltips mod is outdated.
“Eye of Reckoning: reduced % Weapon damage and Physical damage scaling at ultimate ranks”
So let me get this right, a skill that requires more gear to make function than any other skill i have ever used just got nerfed? EoR is one of the worst scaling skills in the game. From play i have found that you only get maybe 1/5 of the sheet dps out of this thing and even with nearly perfect gear is still weaker than many other options.
If more gear options existed as you moved through the levels to boost this skill it would be one thing but until level 94 there isn’t really anything viable. EoR was the only thing to get me to try out the new expansion and I found it very disappointing to say the least.
This is why this is my favorite game. You guys are the best.
In case this is relevant for anyone else, I initially seemed to see worse performance (stuttering, drops to low FPS etc. even on the lowest graphical settings) with the new deferred rendering option enabled. Looking at system resources, I saw some cores were regularly hitting 100% utilization. As recommended multiple places on this forum, I had long ago set up a rule to automatically set specific processor affinity for the Grim Dawn process as this reliably reduced stuttering on my system when using the old/classic non-deferred rendering. I tried removing that affinity setting with deferred rendering enabled, and only after doing so did I see the significant performance improvement that was suggested should be expected with this new option. With the default processor affinity, I no longer see cores hitting 100% utilization and gameplay is generally quite smooth even with settings at maximum graphical quality.
Thank you Crate, for another great update!
Well… that’s just annoying. No idea what you are talking about with the robe boners. I only know that the female model put on weight and now has a large ass that too me is just absurd.
I’ll fully admit I don’t find so called thicc girls appealing. That this now looks like that is honestly off putting for me. WIth that butt she’s now sporting it makes her spine look absurdly curved to the point of being broken, her abdomen is now a broad flat plate, which makes torso armor just look absurd to my eye, rather then what originally looked like a nicely narrowed waist tapering down from her chest/shoulders… I don’t even know what to say about those things on her chest that I assume are meant to be breasts.
I’m relatively confident that devs aren’t trying to appeal to what you think is attractive; they just fixed a model that was literally broken
I haven’t seen so many buffs SINCE ULZUIN’S BETREYAL. This might jut be the most colorful patch ever. Nice.
Some thoughts:
-
MI belts and 2h buffs might break the game
-
Can’t say but was Box just made shit to go along with all other inquisitor casts?
-
RoH de-nerfs not enough, 25% haircut still too much.
-
Pyran mortar nerfs nice but maybe too much considering so little defensive buffs.
-
The Big One… nobody uses it not because of dmg but because it never goes off. There were ideas to make it go first with each new mortar. These were good ideas.

Dunefiend’s EoR still meme-etic. SS changes interesting but no-one wants a single target main! Where’s the energy regen?
I don’t know what to tell you. The ONLY thing we changed was the pose, aka animations. The model is Exactly the same as before.
Fantastic! Love the Soulrend & Shadow Strike buffs. I winded up resetting my progress but I’m looking forward to leveling another reaper.
This would probably be oupie but I have to ask… Any chance of ever getting pneumatic burst applying it’s effect to nearby allies? If possible probably as a set bonus and only at half it’s effect. Playing a skelly reaper would be a dream come true…
AHA! thank you, I knew I had this kind of problem somewhere before.
So, I’ve been running a shar’zul’s World eater build… Do i have to farm a new one for the new +2 to all skills in soldier? That would be lame. I didn’t think legacy items were left after patches in grim dawn.
No, you don’t. It’s a bug and has already been reported in the Bug Reports section. Will get fixed in a future hotfix I expect.
Praise the RNG lords. I hated farming BoC! Thank you.
Probably had a couple of kids.
Gonna need more than that now that EoR itself is nerfed.
