I’m not a fan of complete reliance on GDstash for all your lazy item needs…but… in this case = the beauty of this game is that it is a single-player moddable game.
So in this case, the player can gdstash and feel ok about it for an item tweak. If you are going to spend a zillion hours on something, you might as well get familiar with some mods. Whether you decide to use them or not.
I doubt the Conduit was removed intentionally. More along the lines of: Zantai wasn’t aware so many people liked the old BS Conduit and the number of builds it supported, it’s normal, he’s not aware of every build in existence and more to the point - it’s happened plenty of times before (even with some of my builds where a key item gets completely changed).
If enough people voice their dissatisfaction like they are doing, there’s a good chance it’ll get reverted in a hotfix.
Just a nitpick but doing that means you don’t get the FX swap. Now stat-wise, this doesn’t matter at all and for dedicated builders like yourself or mad_lee, I can see why you might not care but plenty of others (myself included) love the changes as they make a character build feel more “alive”.
But i like concept over paper stats and the noob in me is hopeful and tries…
Then i can at least whine about it and possibly get more support on a build that could never have existed in the first place
unlike in the past, the mods are now complete with full conversion on both dmg types and flat dmg added. This leaves room in your gear slots and you are not forced to use items just for the sake of conversion. Sounds like a win overall
You forget quite a few months ago that many Conduits were changed because of community feedback on many of them - there was an entire topic of discussion on it that Zantai even weighed in on.
All that had to be done was to replace the Blade Barrier Conduit with the new one, instead of replacing the +1 BS summon limit which many builds rely on as a core item. There’s no good reason for it to be removed other than to basically troll people.
Reading comments, I am experiencing Deja Vu moments. Some players are unhappy about nerfs, especially to their builds. Some are extremely happy about builders complaints “Go swim in your own pool of tears”. And everyone is speaking of the behalf of… well everyone or at least from the majority of player’s base.
Examples 1: People grinding for their items will feel bad, because now they’re worthless.
Example 2: People plays only campaign and don’t care if Blade Spirits conduit is turned to fire and some builds will have tougher times in Crucible/SR.
So standard patch notes. Meanwhile I expect the Flamed Touched feedback section.
Uh, no, it doesn’t, and it hasn’t sucked for a while, specially when it became invincible. Pierce Nightblade builds have learned that the conduit amulet combined with a fully invested Blade Spirit gave those builds substantial damage increase and much needed AoE. And Blade Spirit Chillwhisper builds have been wrecking Crucible for a while now, to the point that set ate several nerfs.
If Blade Spirit actually sucked, it wouldn’t have received several nerfs in recent times.
So… would there be any chance of getting this entry updated with the items where all these bonuses have been moved to? Am about to finish levelling a Cabalist to use this set. I see one of the bonuses is on the Bonescavengers gloves.
I don’t really want to self-harm by squinting through the patch notes to find what’s gone where.
