(April Fools!) Grim Dawn Version 4.1.2.2

V4.1.2.2

[Major New Features]

  • Bring Grim Dawn into your home with our brand-new genuinely genuine merch!

[Shattered Realm]

  • After years of shattering, it’s about time we started building. All Shattered Realm levels have been combined into one massive area that roughly resembles the campaign map.
  • Added new quests to the Shattered Realm, start the original new story at the gallows with: Waking to Misery.

[Crucible]

  • After 6 years, the Crucible is finally hot enough to begin smelting the monsters.
  • As a true test of skill and reflexes, monsters now become randomly invincible for 0-60 seconds.
  • The Mutators have mutated into their final form: nerfs.

[Art]

  • To keep up with modern trends, every game asset is now an NFT. Please, no screenshots.

[Tech]

  • The memory-efficient Elephant algorithm has been scrapped in favor of good old reliable Squirrel timers.
  • The overly complex path mesh has been streamlined into one giant square. Should make it a lot easier to get everywhere now.

[Game]

  • Character creation now requires taking parenting and finance courses first to make sure your household can afford the new addition.
  • Monsters now only drop loot when defeated non-violently.
  • We heard the feedback (maybe not yours, but we definitely heard it) loud and clear: doors and stairs have been added to every possible inch of playable space to enhance your experience.
  • Retaliation damage converted to health now has a 100% chance to pass through armor resistance.

[Itemization]

  • All Monster Infrequents now always drop double-rare quality with exactly the affixes you’ve been looking for.
  • Monster Infrequents can now only be acquired through GDStash.
  • For hours of sane fun, all item stats now have 0-100% range on their values.

[Class & Skills]

  • Taking all 36 possible classes now grants a minor in post-apocalypse survival, which should make you qualified to endure working in retail.

Devotion

  • Tier 3 devotions are now mega churches and request regular financial donations equal to 90% of your monthly Iron Bits. Come on, Korvaak needs a new jet!
  • Eel is now sushi-grade.
  • Crossroads have disappeared following a GPS update, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Soldier

  • Soldier mastery is temporarily disabled while we borrow it for RTS tech.
  • Cadence now requires a metronome to be equipped.
  • Discord now requires two-factor authentication.
  • Zolhan’s Technique is now public domain after the patent expired.

Demolitionist

  • In favor of realism, all Demolitionist skills now cause friendly fire and should be used with a little more caution around…anything.
  • Demon Fire has been bottled and scores 800000 on the Scoville scale.
  • Fire Strike is unavailable until its demands have been met.
  • Improved Casing is now made of 100% recyclable materials.

Occultist

  • Occultist mastery is once again 20/20 after Occular surgery.
  • Blood Burst has gone viral in gross-out youtube videos.
  • Destruction has been moved to the Demolitionist mastery. Pick a lane, Occultist!
  • Infernal Breath is now more susceptible to breath mints.

Nightblade

  • Blade Barrier…that’s the joke!
  • Circle of Slaughter has been renamed to…wait…I think we’ve done this already.
  • Heart Seeker is now more likely to swipe right.
  • Nightfall now happens one hour later on account of Daylight Saving Time.

Arcanist

  • Elemental Balance is now perfectly balanced and has been disabled to avoid disrupting it.
  • Flash Freeze is now extra delicious when used on berries.
  • No Disintegration!
  • Nullification no longer triggers a null reference.

Shaman

  • Devouring Swarm is finally full and now harmlessly passes through enemies.
  • Emboldening Presence is now correctly written in bold font.
  • Grasping Vines have received sensitivity training and are now less grabby.
  • Wendigo Totem now has a 1% chance to trigger Scorv to arrive with a license agreement.

Inquisitor

  • Despite best efforts, the Inquisitor mastery still remains entirely unexpected.
  • Bursting Round has lost weight and now comfortably fits.
  • Death Sentence has been bogged down by a lengthy appeal process.
  • Lightning Tether is now compatible with wireless charging devices.

Necromancer

  • Necromancer mastery skills now have a 1% chance to revive old topics on the forum.
  • Whoever smelt Foul Eruption dealt it.
  • Call of the Grave may trigger long distance charges depending on your area code.
  • Undead Legion has been renamed to Undead Super Squad to better reflect its numbers.

Oathkeeper

  • Celestial Presence now incinerates all it touches…monsters, vegetation, the player…everything. To compensate, it now costs 100 energy to cast.
  • Clarity of Purpose has been having a lot of second-thoughts lately and has been renamed to Nihilism.
  • Safeguard is now standard on all entry-level Oathkeeper models to meet federal regulation.
  • Turns out Vire’s Might had a typo and was actually supposed to be called Vire Might all this time. Might what, we’re not sure yet.

i like the new patch  good one

i guess shattered realm will be renamed into ‘Duct-Taped Realm’.

You know what’s missing in this game, a melted plastic big wheel or music reference jokes in the character dialog… oh wait this isn’t borderlands forum… Whoops! LOL!

LOL, you joke, but I have a deep rooted fear this is where gaming is going in the future. They are already making NFT cartoons and RPGs are also starting to implement them…

But where are the modifier skills Comfy Chair and Fluffy Pillows?
