Do me a favor, change your Lighting settings to Low and let me know if that makes any difference at all in Kurnhold? I’ve opened a topic here about it, I believe you might be encountering the same issue.
Is it impossible to upload the patches on the GOG website so we can at least manually update? You guys have one platform lag a week behind on patches. This should be disclosed on the GOG page so people know before they buy it. It’s not a minor issue.
“Boo!”
Crowd is going wild here in front of Crate Entertainment offices. I don’t know how much longer the barriers can hold. Reporters are leaving and moving to a safe distance.
Hi! After the patch in Linux (no matter the proton version) game freezes when going on Frostveil Highlands stair section (image attached with location). Can’t confirm if that is Linux only issue or not, mostly game just freezes, but once provided also crash report which was sent.
Wanted to confirm if anyone on windows and perhaps even on linux might advise if they experience the same. Freeze/Crash is 100% reproducable, happens every time and neither I nor my friend can proceed with content there.
I’m on win and game crashes
Thank You, I guess my searching skills have waned as I did not find anything.
Haven’t even had time to play this DLC or the new difficulty yet, and you are already turning it to a gamemode for suckers. Why not nerf/optimize Ultimate all you want to make that one more attractive to beginners/casuals instead, while keeping ascendant mode tough. I’m worried with the future direction of difficulty updates. A mode that, if I remember correctly, was being advertised as not for everyone, will now slowly start turning into one simplified for everyone. ![]()
I have not changed any graphics settings, and in 1.3.0.4 the ice things in Icehowl Cavern looks like this
I think, as a good boost for Ascendant mode fun without relying on Nemesis/Dread, more hero monsters should be added everywhere and they should be given more strength.
The mechanical variety is there to make it challenging with healers, nullifiers, CC’s and reflect. Need them more widespread in Ascendant to spice it up while hunting troves etc.
It’s still probably the best set for single target in the game.
Any news about bugged Beronath?
Give me a fucking break. A week ago, we were catering to the tryhards!
So predictable…
Have you considered actually playing the content before condemning it ![]()
That’s not how things work here! You declare dead game from the patch notes and then wait patiently for someone to release the next “Ravager in 12 seconds, 3:04 min SR35!” builds.
Sorry to pester You, just wanted to know if there is any idea if the freeze/crash bug in Frostveil Highlands is being looked at or will it not be touched during weekend?
Once the people that can fix it are wake, they will deal with it.
You certainly aren’t to be envied right now. I hope you all still have your vacations ahead of you so you can enjoy them once the initial rush here dies down.
Despite a few bugs, which are completely normal (for us non-native speakers, the most annoying ones are the translation errors; I just want to see the high quality of recent years maintained, the same quality that the community translators worked to uphold from the start; you fix the other technical bugs anyway once they’re reported) I have to say that the whole thing is really well done. Even after a week, I haven’t finished yet, though I do play slowly and take notes for my guide.
Have a great weekend, everyone at Crate…
Yes. Will definitely do when I have time.

I think the idea should be that Ultimate is intended to get you ready for Ascendant, so why not make Ultimate improvements, so that players can feel Ascendant-ready much faster rather than have them complain that they’ve entered a difficulty that they are not ready for yet and getting screwed by it’s “baseline”.
It’d be much better option than doing Ascendant nerfs. The problem is clearly that people want to play Ascendant fast and when are not ready, not that Ascendant is too hard in general.
I do think Dread’s health didn’t need to be reduced, same for the spawn rate for Nemeses. Rest is fine.
I checked the game on Legion GO S, and yes, it crashes at the spot you showed.
Edit: This problem also occurs on Windows 10
