Oh, where do I even begin with the disaster that is Grim Dawn’s endgame? It’s like a labyrinth of frustration and disappointment, where progress feels less like a reward and more like a punishment for daring to play.
First off, let’s talk about the sorry state of build diversity. Unless you’re rolling with some absurdly overpowered meta build, or resorting to cheesy tricks to scrape by, your chances of making any meaningful progress are slim to none. It’s as if the game punishes you for not adhering to the flavor of the month, forcing you into a never-ending cycle of rerolls and respecs just to keep up.
And don’t even get me started on the Shattered Realm. What a hot mess of random nonsense! It’s like playing roulette with your sanity, hoping against hope that you don’t get screwed over by some arbitrary combination of modifiers and monster spawns. Spending twenty agonizing minutes slogging through sparse levels just to reach a boss room that’s utterly unwinnable for your current build? That’s not challenge, that’s just plain bad game design.
Let’s talk about Sunder, shall we? Because nothing says “fun” like getting smacked with a debuff that turns you into a one-shot wonder, with a side of crowd control effects just to add insult to injury. It’s like the developers decided, “Hey, let’s make our players feel utterly powerless and frustrated!” Because who needs enjoyable gameplay mechanics in an ARPG, right?
And don’t even get me started on the mind-numbing tedium of navigating through endless corridors of low monster density, only to stumble upon a mob of enemies so thick with random ground effects and other hazards that you might as well flip a coin to determine whether you live or die. It’s like the game actively conspires against you, robbing any sense of accomplishment from the few fleeting moments of triumph.
In short, Grim Dawn’s endgame is a masterclass in disappointment and frustration, a testament to how not to design a rewarding gaming experience. So unless you enjoy banging your head against a brick wall for hours on end, you might want to steer clear of this train wreck of a game.
How about linking the build instead of saying Fabius is unfair there?
Also, since when does Fabius show up that early in SR boss rooms? I do SR 35 to get the skill points and i never run into Nemeses in boss rooms, only in the normal rooms and they are all incredibly easy.
yea, now i’m pretty sure we can’t be playing the same game, aint no way it should be taking you 20mins to get through a shard in Vanilla, even on a non meta or budget build
i can only imagine that scenario with some serious gross build oversights taking place
Sunder has been out for ages by now, sure there are some that dislike it, plenty seem to be fine with it, in general, like here seems there is massively over exaggeration to its effects, maybe you have some similarities here Not enjoying Sunder at all ?
which what and where does that? - if you want to have any shred of a remote hope for some of these things to be different you should provide specific locations/names etc
definitely seems like this belongs in mod discussion and has nothing to do with actual Grim Dawn ?
What is this post? Even with absolute meme builds (like my silver sentinel RoH tactician that uses the overguard transmuter and a full no dps shield with builder devo) can get to SR 80 on live with patience and knowledge. Lost for words…
Edit: is this league related…if so not relevant to live and in the wrong place as mentioned above.
Dodge and sunder are the two best things that happened to this game. It’s finally playable and somewhat challenging. I’m sad I only gave it a try this time around(because GD league released). Would’ve been better if I had touched the game sooner.
I still dislike the arcane icons “I’M HERE NOTICE ME”, but other than that, the game’s finally going towards the right direction of making the experience feel dynamic as fit for an arpg game. If you want to facetank content meaninglessly or move around slowly you should rather change the genre and play regular rpgs instead.
Also, you are playing the league. The developers are experimenting on here around +% maximum CC resistances or even CC immunity itemisation, so if you get CCd while sundered and find that annoying that’s on you. There are ways to get around it.
Try leaving the aetherial trio for last next time and maybe you wont have your ass kicked as hard.
SR 13 (vanialla 65-66) is when SR starts punching back.
