for that we have to buy the Crucible 2 which starts at 4.99
Love it and hope it will be as hostile as it looks.
This update will not increase the cap rite? I think expansion definitely needs to up the 50 limit in devotions at least…If there will be any increase in level cap, what would it be, 5 or 10?
My guess is lv90. In game data there are some item affixes are for lv90.
OMG a new enemy faction! looks awesome!
Interesting. Lvl 90 sounds just right. It’s 10 skill levels. That is, If it won’t be 1 point per level. But current item max Item level is way bellow the current level cap. It might also be that it’s lvl 95 lvl cap in which case I think it kind of has to be 1 skillpoint per level.
And devotions points, I don’t think we will get 10. It would be too much and make many builds far too similar. Probably will be around 5.
Really curious about the new mastery
new area and additional faction?
damn cool!
new masteries?
woah! cool!
We dont know what the difficulty level for the new area will be. Maybe it will require that amount of points to be comfortable.
However, they’ll have to adjust crucible and other high-end content slightly.
My bet is 90lvl cap with 10 skillpoints, 5 new devotion points and lvl85 or lvl90 epics and legendaries. And stat+hp increase for old nemesis and purple bosses to compensate.
I look forward to these updates a lot! Can’t wait to collect all the new items and fight in the new aetherial dungeon while being fed delicious expansion berries.
True. Probably along those lines. I am more worried about devotion points. A couple of devotion points can sometimes make or break a specific build. If we got 10 points people would be able to spread far accross the devotion map which might lead to very similar and somewhat bland devotions paths without much identity or actual compromise made in the final state of the build.
Content will be more difficult so builds will need to get stronger too. Just hope it won’t be that way.
To some extent same worry can be addressed for skill points. There could be more “standard” builds with too many skill points.
Swampy area’s goner look great! Suitably oppressive, starting to get a real Deliverance / Southern Comfort vibe! New Lore!
If you’ve played TQ you should be aware that GD has a skill point hunger in comparison. So I doubt that 10, or even 20 skillpoints will break variety. E.g 10 skillpoints is a single skill out of ~15-20 in each mastery, anf not even maxed in most cases.
I have played TQ a lot yes. Skill hunger was in TQ as well, like Guardian.:p. But not like in GD indeed. Going full on both masteries was done pretty much all the time in TQ. 20 Skil points might be a bit much. It might break variety in that one might not need to start a new character to make a new build with similar classes that he already tried. Just shift points and devotions and done, new build. This is already being done and will be even more with 20 skill points
Anyway I probably am worying for nothing because when the devs finalized this game they already had the expansion in mind so I really trust that there will be good balance.
LOL, if the cap is increased by just 5 lvls, then it’s gonna be beyond retarded…
Currently you can reach the cap before even reaching the end of Act 3 in this game, by simply doing all sidequests, plus don’t forget that there is a new roguelike dungeon coming up, meaning you can do 3 roguelikes THREE times, plus the new area, that will have new quests, new side areas, and a whole new act… there is no way in hell that the cap will be increased by a measly 5 lvls only lol…
BTW, on TQ, there where more quests that gave you skill points, the skills could be maxed by 6 to 8 points instead of 8 to 16, the masteries capped on 32, rather than at 50 and there wasn’t a drop in skill points gained past lvl 50.
TQ also had the quest which raises random resistance as reward.
GD should have such a quest.
Fair points on TQ mastery bars but that game was differently balanced. And to he honest with all the lvl 85 characters I have I’ve never been able to reach lvl 85 by the end of ultimate just by doing all quests and dungeons along the way. Even with backtracking BOC in Veteran and Elite. I’ve seen other post about this. Not sure how they do it:)
I find myself easily reaching level 85 without farming - I am doing this just by exploring all areas and doing all side quests. For example, current character that I am playing entered Ultimate at level 71.
While the mastery level is lower you can only max TQ skills by 4, i.e. a skill with a maximum of 12 could be increased up to a maximum of 16 with +skills items for example. You can equip more +skills items of course, but only the max of 4 will apply. Any higher can only be achieved with a mod that allows this like Bumbleguppy’s Legion of Champions mod. GD can go up to 10 iirc unless it’s been cut back in later releases.
There are a lot of devotions, while 10 points would hurt diversity I doubt it would make every build look the same. Who’s to say there won’t be new constellations too?
