Yeah this should be obvious to anyone who completed their quest line, they’re full of shit so using a necromancer to achieve their goals doesn’t seem too far out of line.
I am guessing there’s a difference between reviving a spirit like they did and bringing something back from the dead by tying its free-will to your hands. So i wouldn’t call them necromancers
I do agree with you in that they’re full of shit, their leader is feeding them lies. I honestly want an option in the expansion to betray them and join the Order. They think they worship Empyrion but are actually worshiping Korvaak (unless Empyrion=Korvaak:rolleyes:)
I second this, necromancer has been done too many times and is too unoriginal. Although, if in addition to just lame pets, it gave us an effective way to deal vitality damage, especially in melee, I’d be ok with it. There are so many neat vitality melee weapons and no good build for them.
So I see in the artwork the runes/artifacts in the hands , one casting lightning and the other fire. Is she casting Ice out of her butt? What is that skill called?
8/8 Salt Proficiency
Yeah Necromancer won’t be the same old mastery everyone is familiar with.
-I am guessing it would improve cold/vitality synergies
-Make Vitality a good damage type for melee
-Add actual sources of Vitality Decay
-Add support for melee aether (Otherwise my DW-Aether Sorcerer will remain my only aether build)
Well we do have a Throw Feces in the game, so an Ice Fart/Fart Freeze wouldn’t be too far fetched

For the bolded part: I can already smell Internal Trauma being converted into Vitality Decay via some Phys2Vit aura/passive, on top of whatever else comes there as well… nom nom nom.
For the rest:
CRATE F*CKING DELIVERS.
FULL STOP. HANDS DOWN.
Wow ı can see in background a Ugdenbog Golem and are these new undeads ?? are misshapen eldritch undead lives in Ugdenbog ?? humm…seem new cretures on the way
Just so you know. Converting flat damage doesn’t convert its DoT counterpart.
So Acid->Fire wouldn’t mean Poison->Burn
Arcanum Sigillis mastery confirmed!
So the scarf thing in the wallpaper image is purple but the ingame images have it as green…any chance it could actually be purple? Cairn needs more royal purples in its (dwindling) life.
Please tell me this is expanding on channeling skills:
Yes it does.
Ok, as for the mastery combo names:
Inquisitor alone = Inquisitor (Kappa)
Soldier/Inquisitor = Sentinel (No Templar/Guardian? #Sadpanda)
Demolitionist/Inquisitor = Tactician (would make sense, I guess…)
Nightblade/Inquisitor = Mage Hunter (love this one. 10/10, would hunt all the mages)
Arcanist/Inquisitor = Purifier (the “good guy mage” type that purifies evil magic wherever he/she goes)
Occultist/Inquisitor = Deceiver (seems about right, but Heretic would be more cool, IMO)
Shaman/Inquisitor = Ritualist (seems pretty obvious to me, until I know the 8th mastery)
Inquisitor/8th mastery = Vindicator (Can’t really make this out… so i’m very curious about it…)
I wonder how accurate my guesses were…?
What is this word that everyone uses?
I believe the 8th mastery will be “spirit guide”. To me it would fit a Grim Dawnian take on Necromancer, support cold (spirit), vitality with its decay and pets! Undead skeletons, aether gouls etc. And since the mastery works FOR humanity, But dabbles in forbidden arts, thus vindicating… Inquisitor+spirit guide= vindicator
Edit: http://www.dictionary.com/browse/vindicator
Edit 2: crucible also has a spiritguide available, might indicate it is a class. Also, never played TQ, But I believe a class there is a spirit/dream guide class/mastery? No?
Runic Traps
Some time ago I’ve made a short list of things the game is missing.
The 7th mastery seem to (partially) fill such points as:
- Good ranged (DW Pistol is a good bet) support
- Some more cold damage
- Some minor chaos damage
The things that are still lacking are:
- Good aether (aether+lightning?) support
- Another good chaos or vitality (vitality+cold?) support
- Another good shield support
It is still unclear whether we’ll get some aether/chaos/vitality default attack replacers, but I don’t see any of those in the 7th mastery, as for the current info we have.
This looks very exciting. I am trying to think of non-necromancer options for the other class.
Sooo… when are we getting that mastery limit increase to handle the 2 new masteries? Or will mods that are already full have to cut two of their own out to be able to use the new masteries with their own masteries?
