So I wanted to clarify something. In vanilla GD at some point we used to be able to freeze bosses thereby making OFF not completely useless. Does Malmouth provide any such support for OFF through skill modifiers and stuff?
It doesn’t even need to be Freeze support but rather any form of support to make sure the skill isn’t completely useless against bosses
I mean it’s probably my favorite cold spell at the moment and I think I’d love to see some support for it
And the devotion map shows little to no changes in the retaliation department. Does the expansion actually support retaliation or are we supposed to run the same builds?
I never understood why OFF need to Freeze to inflict dmg? Its not like OFF do a lot of dmg and %RR debuf can be reduced to sane level in no time. Like -20/30% fire res at 12/22?
Would agree with that part if OFF actually did offer either his damage and/or resist without needing to freeze it would be usefull.
I guess you could let it keep his Damage
Give his Fire Res Reduction if Frozen
50% of the value if not Frozen
That wouldn’t boost his power even higher in term of Trash Clear but it would allow you to at least do some damage (and a minimum amount of RR) to stuff that matter.
Because paying 3$ more for pretty much two new acts, two new masteries, new game features and engine updates is WAY too much… Holy crap, some people are really sad cheapskates.
Agreed, OFF should have Freeze but it shouldn’t be necessary to inflict damage
I personally wouldn’t mind if they removed the RR or made it so that the RR needed Freeze effect to get applied

A long CD, large AOE, Cold skill and high damage Cold skill
I am also interested in what they do to Canister Bomb through skill modifiers, since currently while the skill is good it’s not worth the point investment due to large CD and low returns when compared to Grenado or Devastation

The upcoming patch will update them for us, one doesn’t require the expansion to get these performance upgrades.

You are paying for a higher quality bar and an absurd amount of content, not to mention that the base game was frankly priced pretty low for what it offered.
If you want to wait for a sale, that is your prerogative. We are charging what we think our efforts are worth. It is up to you to decide if you agree with our assessment on a personal level.
Not sure why you think the expansion should change the functionality of an existing ability. I think we’ve had the Crowd control is for crowds debate already. OFF is already so powerful against crowds, I hardly think it needs to be even more versatile.
Retaliation will see plenty of new gear options and some support in Devotion/new classes, but it’s not going to be shoehorned in just to say there’s more retaliation in the game just like we didn’t shoehorn in dual gun support into the Demolitionist despite requests.
Item changes are retroactive. If you have the expansion installed, you will find some old items have additional stats they did not have before. Items aren’t losing any bonuses to fit the new classes in.
It’s not that simple - there is a patch coming to Core game regardless if you buy expansion. I assume he wants to know if items will be changed with the core patch if he doesn’t buy the expansion. It’s a legit question , why would you have items for necro and inquisitor in your game if you dont have the expansion.
