I’m thinking it was more of a “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!” “fuck you”.
Uh…I really need to catch up. I haven’t had a chance to play much in the past few years due to health issues. I’m so glad to see you folks doing so well with this game. Goodness knows you’ve put enough blood, sweat and tears into it. I just hope you continue to do well and that you avoid the fate that befell my dear departed Runic Games (RIP). I’m still so sad for not just the Torchlight series but for Hob and the devs many of whom I consider good friends and who have been so incredibly kind to me. Please look after yourselves and be careful.
That said I wish you all the good fortune and kindness in the world. Hopefully at some point the medical stuff won’t be as pressing and I can pick up the expansions I’m missing.
Yeah, but where’s the fun in that? Plus, I went to a lot of effort to write out the little missive.
Oh.My.Dear.Lord. CRATE, YOU’RE SOOOOOO AWESOME _
I was hoping for a new expansion, wasn’t sure you’ll make it though - and now I’m really happy. Thank you
Please, give us those damn spears, bows and staves :3
Wow, just wow! Totally blindsided me!
Back on the hype train then!
Level cap increases…
… Empowered Mythicals’!!! Please no
Hmmm… Interesting. Preordered.
Crate, you guys are awesome!
The sun is coming back in the end? a come back to TitanQuest.
Bright Dawn indeed.
Excited for the new gameplay mode, I hope it will be an endgame content with hight replayability.
Hey, have you guys considered talking to Nintendo yet?
I mean, Skyrim can run on Switch…
Skyrim is far less resource intensive than Grim Dawn, with both on low settings.
You just compared a video game to life, that’s a problem by itself. As far as games go why bother wasting time farming for items that won’t cut it in the future. Your logic will come back with why bother working out to lift something when something heavier will be there later.
^ This post really resonated with me.
And to prepare the mood for Forgotten Gods:

Let’s not forget about Act 2 in Titan Quest. I am one of those who loved Act 2 in TQ. I don’t find sand themes boring at all. I love them. Bring me pyramids, mummy raising necromancers, a twist on Egyptian Cosmology (in a Grim Dawn context), underground tombs, countless undead enemies, quests that have you enter random pyramids, floodplains, palm trees, snakes, crocodile men, etc… I’d like to see a new underground roguelike similar to Steps of Torment, but underneath a giant pyramid dungeon.
As far as new masteries go, an Assassin certainly comes to mind, but we have the Nightblade. Hmm. Maybe some weird Assassin hybrid that only Crate has the imagination to conceive?
At any rate, I for one am profoundly excited for this news. Thank you Crate.
This seems like the first RPG you ever played in your life. Gear in RPGs eventually become obsolete because the weaker ones get replaced by the new, better ones. That’s called gear progression.
Don’t know why you are complaining about it here when it happens in every RPG.
Not quite. In fact, games that defied some of this are also some of the deepest in terms of items, and variations/variant characters. Diablo 1 has the Thinking cap, can drop anywhere from Dungeon to Hell, and is useful to magic users all around.
Diablo 2 has things like Ume’s Lament, the Leaf runeword which in a +3 to firebolt staff (easy to buy from Akara in act II normal) is actually an end-game item that will carry a player through normal, nightmare, and hell once made.
Heck, some players even played Naked characters - Casters who never equipped gear, and Diablo 1 had Beyond Naked characters, those who three-dotted their characters with cursed gear that LOWERED their stats, winning through spell levels and player skill alone.
I want to contribute to Crate! Pre-Order?!!?!
Keep making this great game better! I am going to be a eager little beaver chewing up mobs for the next year waiting for this expansion!!
Can’t wait for the 19th!!
