You have my support! Hopefully you guys make a really hard nemesis!!! Not just Reaper of the Lost or Grava’Thul but EVEN HARDER THAN THESE TWO!
Wow, great news there !!! Really curious about that new gameplay mode.
So, only two or three items, what about 99% of the rest of the items? Grim Dawn also has some early items that are useful in endgame. Doesn’t mean the game is not motivated by gear progression.
And being able to beat the game naked, making gear not 100% essential, even if it’s difficult to beat the game by doing such thing. So, the main thing about these games. The more i read about the first two Diablo games, the worse they sound.
rift/map system:cool:
I’m pretty sure what’s going to happen is:
We’ll repair the bridge south to Old Grove**
Beat up some aetherials
pulls up in Delorean Get in, Taken!
Get chased by van full of Cthonians
Travel back in time to ancient Egypt desert Cairn
Now acceptable to have Staff/Spear weapons
** I know Zantai said they thought about / started work on that area but then scrapped it because moving south just doesn’t work as well as north/west/east in ARPGs (and while it’s possible that we can rotate camera, I love Crate’s decision that we don’t need to) maybe we can go a little tiny bit south
Awesome. Day one, as before.
I’m gonna go ahead and assume that’s some lovely new Shield Mastery stuff he’s got equipped right there.
And that there eye candy better be our new loading screen guy.
eralduspr - "One of my greatest wishes for Grim Dawn is finally happening… honestly, I’m extremely hyped by this!
Too hyped to comment on that, sorry!"
Ancient deserts and tombs to explore?!! xD
My thought process exactly!! Stfu and take my money naow
Seriously not expected at all…damn amazing news Crate :D:D:D
damn that’s sweet!
Not personally a fan of sand/desert/canyon environments! Thought we had enough of that, already, with the post-warden & pre-blood grove content.
Was always intimately disappointed at how the only snow/ice area lasts like 5 minutes and isn’t relevant. Would’ve been cool to have more of that (wink wink)
But that’s just my very personal opinion, to each their own and hey, you never know. Game now just needs to have more spots where you get hit by ice damage, right?
inb4 ice desert
Good to know I was right, As always
OMFG!!!
This would be pretty cool.
I think both ice and sand type areas need to be expanded on a bit imo.
Praise Korvaak! To be honest I wasn’t expecting much more new content for GD. This is exceptional news! Looking forward to following the development updates!
OMG, I try to save money to go to Barcelona in the summer and you guys come up with that?
Bye money… where’s the preorder???
I hope there is new space in the stash. Where will I put those news legendaries? My mule character is almost full.
This probably means, more masteries, more devotions, and more sweet loot, oh wait, more areas? Well, there goes my plans for the second half of this year
Not true I both accounts. This is only true with modern arpgs when expansions equal an increase to max character level making all max gear useless upon update. It happened here as soon as AoM hit. Take a classic like Diablo 2 when LoD hit the max level didn’t change, yes they added a ton of new items and op rune words but bis items remained best in slot. This allowed for you to play for hours and hours grinding items to store for later use. Take modern arpgs max level is 75, reach that have bis items—-expac announces with max level increasing making grinding while you wait pointless cause items will be useless to higher versions or other items in general.
So now Grim Dawn max level is 100 if you have the best of the best, assuming new expac increases the level to 110,115?? Nothing will beat higher items to come so no sense in wasting time playing to find obsolete items. If there is no increase in character level with new expac or more devotion points to allocate then in this day in age it would flop. The times have killed games. People crave for more more more. With out it they offer a new act with a new class play once and become bored quickly.
If I were to play now I’d have a slight reason to play as I’ve deleted every character I make upon completion or if they fail as well as empty stash, I believe I have a death knight in normal around level 35ish that I never fleshed out and a level 100 inquisiter/shaman that hasn’t beat the game yet on ultimate (in sewers) before the rage quit I had on constant crucible runs for items and blueprints failing to do anything but put me to sleep.
I am honestly most excited for the change of landscape, can’t wait to travel through some fucking dank volcano paths.
Cannot stop smiling after hearing this news.
Thank you everyone at Crate.
I would love to give you more money if you had a store with merchandise, similar to that bottle opener and maybe some posters.
Dammit Crate, this is amazing news.
I love spooky desert maps.
I request an armor piece that lets you have a hairy chest to get that look in the picture going. A unisex one. Hairy chests for all!
Thank you, Crate, for continuing to be a company absolutely loyal to it’s fans.
I appreciate the dedication.
