Hum…
Going to consoles, smells like doom. Same road Diablo 3 took and the game suffered.
New expansion…(not currently playing) but why bother now when everything will be obsolete.

Wow. I actually didn’t expect this, but I couldn’t be happier. My favorite ARPG of all time is about to get even bigger.
Thanks Crate!
Diablo 3 was pretty much made for consoles. Grim Dawn was made for PC and now it has a console port.
Why bother living if you’re just gonna die? See, how dumb that logic is? Everything becomes obsolete after a while. Specially in RPGs with gear progression.
Oh god yes. Yes yes yes yes. Please take my money
I was a kickstarter backer so got the first expansion for free, but will happily give you guys more monies for this. Was feeling like you may just skip straight onto other games but this is amazing news
man I am down with this expansion. Take my soul and time.
I dont think the content up the the end of the new expansion will be …i dont know how to call this? Easy? I mean the AoM for most ppes was a hard content no matter what.Unless you prefer playing up to epic maybe with normal items will be ok
About the consoles release, they clearly stated the it would have nothing to do with limitations or even limiting the PC version for it. I agree it could make the next updates(which are free so far big thanks for this) being late cause they will have 2 builds to work at the same time? But i guess its just speculations
Diablo3 was a failure from the start…i dont think the console port helped on that. It was the last thing they did with the name for quick bucks thats all.
Blizz just didnt care cause as long as peeps liked competing in the rifts that made them happy
Am I the only one that looks at the picture and think: SHIELD MASTERY !!??!
This is above awesome, and I am sooo loooking forward to new content and new masteries, amongst the new features I hear coming !
Woah!
So our heroes in Cairn find a portal to Titan Quest’s Egypt to help out with new technology and awesome powers?!?!
I’m totally in
Also I’m glad that desert terrain will be more prevalent as we didn’t see much besides in Act 2. Maybe snow terrain will also be touched on somehow lol.
This is super exciting. Now quickly, to finish getting the few remaining base and Ashes achievements before this happens.
Also, I was briefly working on a Grim Dawn tabletop set in a desert to the south…
He never said that. what he said is that the engine supports character levels to 200. In case we’d ever get tons of content to go that far. More for the modders then actual game made by Crate though.
HO LY SHITE! MAJOR announcement indeed Zantai and hopefully for release in the second half of 2018. By the three you guys are working hard. Can’t wait to hear more of what’s coming our way later in the year - cross fingers.
Oh but he did say it, oh yes he did (and he wasn’t referring to the engine or modders at this time in any way). Let’s just say it was early days day-dreaming about things he would like to eventually do. It was in an interview if I recall. Perhaps later tonight I’ll try to find it.

I am so hyped for this and it took me by complete surprise!
Does this mean we will be heading south?
Here are some of my thoughts:
Should the level cap increase? - No 100 is just perfect. Adding any more would be unnecessary and if you want an extra skill or attribute point a quest could solve this.
Should we get more devotion points? - I would be happy going up to 60 but I feel that would be the limit. I assume more constellations will be added!
A new class? Yes please! I love testing out builds and opening up more doorways!
I just can’t wait to get my hands on this and see what exotic places we get to go too, and it is expected to come out this year!
I agree, level 100 is more than enough. Level 200 sounds ridiculous, like MMO levels of ridiculous.
I do like if the devotion cap was increased.
I’m fine if this is just a smaller expansion than Ashes of Malmouth.
My money.
All of my money.
Take it.
It’s yours.
Awesome news, i had a feeling you guys would do one more xpac.
Cant wait to start spamming “XPAC WHEN” in the streams again
Grim Pokemon Bronies of the Horde
I disagree. Progress is the heart and soul of hack&slash games. Diablo III is boring because you hit lvl70 after a couple hours, and full gear after a couple days (mostly thanks to that ridiculous guaranteed set stuff). That being said, you don’t need to overkill stuff by making everything pre-expansion obsolete and useless by default. A level cap raised by 10-15 pips is perfectly fine, as AoM showed.
The small problem I see with GD is that you hit 100 in Epic already, leaving Legendary completely devoid of any progress except gear perhaps (but you can get all the gear in Epic anyway).
Either way, I’m very happy. I guess we’ll be seeing new classes, and new devotions. That’s amazing. Perhaps gameplay/itemization improvement like AoM brought (skill mechanics modification).
Hopefully by this time I will have a decent computer that doesn’t stutter-lag every time I try to play! Very excited.
And I notice you have a bare-chested man as the mascot, is that to balance out AoM and avoid accusations of sexism??
DON’T YOU DARE! You kow it puts the release date back by a day every time anyone asks.
