You really should start using “IMO” or “for me” in your statements, because you surely don’t speak for the whole playerbase… not even by a small margin.

if you think over 100 is overkill, lets look at what Diablo 2 median xl does.
If you think thats a minor mod, think again. Its pretty active now, real end game and one of the first creator worked for both PoE and LoL to create items.

But in Median Xl the last few levels are rly rly hard to get. Most wont.
Any more levels and it starts to become too easy to max pretty much a big chunk of any mastery skills. Heck, with the current level cap, i have several characters with every skill they use maxed out. 10 or 15 more levels means 10 or 15 more skill points. This would allow me to pick stuff i couldn’t before and it would start to make a big chunk of the builds to look way too similar than they already are.
My point is that i like to have to make actual choices instead of just being able to pick everything without any sacrifices.
And i use it if i want. Not gonna tell me to do shit.
I did not expect this at all. I have just finished the aom ultimate with 1 character and barely finish 170.
And more challenge await.
You work at crazy pace crate. I can see I will only play this game in this 2 years.
I will not be able to play other games in my free time… Not cool crate, not cool.

Normally, I would like my game announcements to be done like 2 days before the actual release date to have my anxiety under check. But months…I’ll be now struggling for months!

This can be achieved in many ways. Cutting the progression to 1 point per 2 levels, etc.
Or just setting levels 100-120 super high in EXP, making them like 91-100 from diablo 2: attainable only by the most determined.
NOT expanding the limits = boredom and diablo 3 route.
Slow and methodical progression usually makes long time players happy. Rushed 10 levels to attain in 1 hour sucks. I agree on that.

Some people are already not a fan of the 1 skill point per level, they would be more annoyed by the 1 skill points per two levels. I would be kind of fine with that though.
Given how easy it is to level up now, specially with the Malmouth exp potions, i doubt they will make the last levels too hard to reach. I certainly would hate it because extremely slow level progression is what made me not get a single character to max level in Titan Quest. Instead of wanting to continue to level, i just gave up and started another character because i was so bored with the really slow leveling.

As much as i Love leveling up in RPGs i do tend to think that GD max level of 100 for the standard progression is enough.
However as Zantai mentioned “new powers” i do hope the post lvl 100 progression will be based on a different skill tree with God like powers - remember the PC is by all means an Ascendant and by the end of Forgotten Gods he/she will most certainly be on equal footing with Korvaak who is a Primordial god (even if weakened).
This way we wont need to re-grind for gazzilion Ancient Mythical Legendaries as well if they up the lvl cap while we get awesome char progression.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with this announcement. Was expecting to be let down and a new expansion seemed unlikely to me since AoM released less than 6 months ago. You guys are absolute rockstars.
The name, artwork and theme are all fantastic btw. Can’t wait to explore the new zones and dungeons.
Hoping the new mode is some kind of Adventure mode ala Diablo 3. It would make farming/grinding so much more enjoyable. Especially since I want to be a constant state of combat with little to no downtime.
Adding portals closer to the rogue dungeons would be an excellent QOL feature as well but I’m sure you already know this.
