Ohh, this seems pretty damn cool, awesome stuff 
I was thinking that this would make getting sets too easy but on second thought, you need a considerable amout of iron and a spare set piece. Yes, you can craft the head piece but that’s expensive as shit, and if I understand correctly, the set piece you get by doing this is still random, so it’s a cool idea.
And a new rare crafting reagent we know nothing about. Maybe it drops once in a century. Or maybe once in the aeon. For every player combined.

Well, as long as it doesn’t drop as often as, oh, component pieces now drop but not as rare as, oh lets say… complete sets drop, then I’d say they should be able to home in on a sweet spot.
The whole idea of this mechanic is to ease the frustration, not add to it.

if that is the case, it will draw a lot of players from other ARPG’s, because the only thing truly holding them back will then be the fact that this is a single player game, no big hurdle (and I am not being sarcastic)

Personally not really excited by this…if u farm u find ur items…any…all…and u dont need to waste resources when u can actually play the game instead of clicking a buton for the item…
This is just 1 little thing from what is comming i presume…so really anxious to see the actual new content of the game.
But also i dont mind it…very little work…so why not ? Better rolls might come from this…after u grow a beard on ur back…but they will come eventually…

Is the new Set Item exactly what I want or is ist a random piece of the Set?
For example needing Bloodrager´s Shoulders, so transmuting Chest…can I choose to get the shoulders and nothing else?

Hey I gotta ask something. Supposedly I got my Leg from Bella and used this feature. Will the resultant item have the Smith’s bonus? (I assume the answer would be “no”)
