i kind of agree. and yet, why have something that just gets popped and refreshed like a metronome going off. why not a tactical nuke. it’s good for one thing and one thing only. but you pay for it. or how other games do drugs. “yeah this will give you enough muscles to take down even a nemesis. but on the cool-down you get ganked even easier by boss mobs” such as plus 10 to max resists and double armor absorption for 3minutes, but on the 1 minute cool-down all damage taken is trippled or resists are fixed at 0% all resist
or
Two Enemies. One Potion
“some things were never meant to be known”
All Resists are Fixed at 75%
Enemy Resists are fixed at 75%
this would have situational use. i could be wrong, but i couldn’t see people wanting to keep this constantly up
This works even in gmail notification. At first I considered it strange that there is not the usual “visit topic” button, but not strange enough to scroll down. Only after finding the post through more conventional means and scrolling down to see replies…
I mean i like such concepts in general, and i also like the art. I know it’s an minor thing, but i find UI / Icon Design / Game-Art can really impact the overall look, and the potion designs esp. look sick.
Still have to drop my regular: I hope one day we’ll get rainbow-filter-esque stat/element colorization as an native option for tooltips.
At first glance, things seem very cool, making the simple boring R button (for healing) more diverse, although I must admit it comes with a worry that it may end up abused.
The concern is that it can be permanent or become a 100% must-have, unlike now whether I sometimes use the healing button or not.
That “Total Damage Taken Modified by +X%” is super important to have with the “Total Damage Modified by +Y%”, otherwise… as I could predict things in the future, people are gonna abuse that and end up being in almost every build.
With such great power, there have to be big drawbacks. That’s my only worry. I would love to see these drawbacks (like bigger energy consumption or the same damage taken or reduced health), so these power options aren’t build priority and the sole reason to build perform really well.
Had same concerns than others, but then saw the buff duration :
30 seconds for the two sample buffs. This is long enough to prevent the piano effect, you won’t have to reactivate your pot on CD, just once in a while
Hello everyone… as far as I can remember you mentioned upgrading the runes, from a lower level like NEMEZIS and my favorite Lightstorm, as well as Epic Items to be upgraded to legendary. Will there be such an update?
PoE: 5 flasks with half a dozen charges giving rotating buffs that you have to piano until you can grind or purchase enough currency to make them a fully automated buff/heal machine that needs to be a core defensive and/or offensive function of your entire build because the game is balanced around extremes.
GD planned change: minor customization of 1 health and 1 energy potion that gives a small benefit on a cooldown.
Of course it depends on how Crate implements it. But I’ve been playing this game for 9 years and have no reason to think they are trying to emulate PoE (thankfully, since PoE is an inferior game in almost every way).
Almost all top builds rely on health potions to survive vs the toughest enemies. I don’t think it’s gonna be as simple as choosing the highest dps option for every build.
The person I replied to implied they were emulating PoE, I refuted that idea to be clear. PoE2 is emulating ER to a good degree, therefore we are all stealing ideas from FromSoft. Who stole their ideas from somewhere else. Cross genre intellectual borrowership (CGIB) I shall name it [cue George Carlin bit on soft language].
actually just looks similar to skills like pneumatic burst in functionally. so basically 2 customizable skill slots. they already felt like skill slots anyways. to bad it takes so long to access the functionality. can’t wait
We have no idea what the 20 options are. There already could be a permanent up time pot. But if Crate was creative, it wouldn’t be simply just dps stats or defensive stats.
OR you could see a PoE mageblood type item that makes pots permanent.
They could do so much more even with engine limitations in mind. And even so, there is a log of history of things “can’t be done” yet shapeshifting will be a thing.
Please, if somehow possible, put the Potion Brewing NPC in the Witch Camp in Ugdenbog! I would really love to see the camps become more and more thematic. What better oportunity to make the witches more witchy than implementing potion brewing in the game!
The DLC should not confine the additional content to the frozen north! Nothing stops you from improving other areas aswell!
Also: You could add a nice little quest some witch ask you to do, to unlock the potion brewing, similar to the unlocking of the transformation skill in Forgotten Gods!
I wonder if this means the snowy act will be difficult enough that you need those custom potions (like you suddenly needed to pay attention to your armor for AoM) or if it’s mostly for the ascended mode.
I can’t wait for the expansion to be released Crate.
Or at least please update Berserker mastery beta on Grimtools from time to time.
I want to pay for the expansion already.
