And given Grim Misadventures is breaking until Sept for post-content release we know it’s now between Jun1 and Sept 14!

Interesting to have a rough estimate with “90+ awakened epics”. GM#193 said
The purpose of the Awakening system is to, over time, take the hundreds of Epic quality items the game has that have largely fallen out of favor in the endgame and give them a second lease on life. Why have all this wonderful art and itemization if they serve no practical purpose? With the release of Fangs of Asterkarn, we plan to transform many of our existing Epics into Legendaries, and we intend to continue doing so with subsequent updates. Whether we eventually cover every Epic in the game remains to be seen, but you can see the potential for years to come.
but it wasn’t clear how much would be left to “subsequent updates”. Good to know!
And will “Old Grove” remain without any transition?
Grats on the progress! I really think you guys should take a poe like approach, and offer a way to play the campaign where its one singular progression through the acts and the expansions to the endgame.

Game is balanced around having 3 difficulties so dropping two would mean a major rework of the whole game. As Zantai would probably say “why not make GD2?” And you can already get to L100 on any difficulty.
it’s not the matter of gearing the character, it’s a matter of challenge Ascended Mode will (hopefully) providefor an already fully geared level 100 character.
Right now, if you reply Forgotten Gods with level 100 character, there is no challenge at all.
Not speaking for other people: mimicking the controller is absolutely what i wanted in form of implementation.
it enables certain builds to be “fun to play” and i don’t need to think about smooth amining vs smooth movement a.i mouse vs controller.
As a PoE2 and Grim Dawn Player - this is an absolute win for me
Wow, this looks amazing! I’ve been reading the Grim Misadventures and waiting patiently, but it seems we are nearly there finally! So looking forward to getting this game and playing Fangs of Asterkarn will be my GoAT for quite some time so much loot and new modifiers to try out.
Would be nice to make a pre-order available then?
I have to assume that will drop with the gameplay trailer along with the price for the DLC. Any guesses?
Usually the gameplay trailer is used on the DLC’s Steam page. So I’m assuming when the trailer is release , which includes the release date, the DLC page will be up on Steam with the price and release date.
Why is there any need for a pre-order ?
The keys are not limited, there is no physical copy, there is no additional paid cosmetics…
Hey, unless I can write FoA off my taxes ? Zantai, care to help for the paperwork ? /joking
We’ve never done a preorder outside of the initial Grim Dawn offering.
You will be able to wishlist the expansion once the announcement is out.
We really need this in our live splease
But the 20% increased pricetag for 2 days of early access is leaving so much money on the table! ![]()
Release date announced by the end of May, next Dev Update 10 days after my birthday? I’m thinking this thing will finally be released before if not ON July 4th!!! I’ll consider it an early birthday present from Crate!!!

Map looks cool, there will be a lot of content for sure. ![]()
I’m so excited about this expansion and finally we get it soon. Is there any chance to have Grim Tools support before release for theorycrafting? Maybe a week before. ![]()
The new Berserker mastery has been up on Grim Calc for a while now, if you haven’t checked it out.
It is out of date but gives a good idea what the class has. I know alot changed with the cooldown mechanics for the transformations.
