Im planning on adding a new class - The Medic/Apothecary (name pending) Itll be a heal focused class with some knowledge in poisons and bleeding dmg (Being a medic grants you the knowledge where important arteries are and stuff). He will also have stuff like increased potion effectiveness/duration, group oriented support, and stuff like that. But the medic wont be strong (at all) in terms of offense, Ill also add some exp-related additions you all can look forward to^^

I’ll be modifying all the existing classes to enable more ‘lazy play’ options. This means reworking a lot of skills to make it possible to play the game more passively without making them too OP.

Will also probably add new skills and transmutes where needed. For example a movement skill for Shaman (Lightning Dash?) and maybe other classes too.

Also (if possible):

  • add retaliation damage interaction to specific skills (Counter Strike, Vindictive Flame, maybe even Cadence etc.)

  • add/change channeled skills to make them awesome. Commander Lucius’s flamethrower attack animation instead of Albrecht’s Aether Ray for example? Will see.

I like to vastly increase world interaction, make everything skill related, a deep randomized crafting system, overall increase of randomisation, various ways to gain XPS in the mods I create.
The modding tools here seem so promising, reminds me of NWN2 toolset. All this could be an incredible blast, can’t wait to check the tools, and hopefully not be disappointed.

Finally, everyone will mod their game to hell and back. :slight_smile:

I cant describe how happy I am about the new quest editor…the old one was…special in its own way. The addition of lua-script is obviously great, too. Even I managed to use that before and I have no experience in that area whatsoever.

I would love to see roll dodge mod if it is possible to do something like that :smiley:

I really hope the modding take off unlike Torchlight 2’s who died quickly

Personally I think GD has more staying power than Torchlight. I think it will do well with mods.

I still play Torchlight 2 Synergies MOD ! And the mod was uptaded last month.
Also keep a look at Titan Quest who has still a modding community active (Titan Quest Diablo Immortal, Soulvizier…).

Yup, that’s what I was thinking about too as well as some of those TQ modders are going to be modding GD from what I’ve read.

It’ll probably be a little bit longer yet. Zantai mentioned earlier in some post I can’t remember where at the moment that the programmers still have a bit of work to do on the tools (probably getting delayed from having to also figure out some people’s crash problems) including he is still doing documentation.
