It certainly doesn’t sound it (someone earlier mentioned that it sounds perfect for Necromancer for a ruler/master and somewhat of a dark theme) but it makes sense. After my last post on Shieldbreaker, I had a look at some of the other masteries lore and Shaman’s has this tidbit:

Hailing from the untamed northlands, Shamans were the spiritual leaders and guardians of their people.

Besides that, I guess it takes an impressive ruler to command beasts/nature to your will, just look at what Mogdrogen can do :rolleyes:

Thanks Zantai and good guess Evil_Baka. This fortunate turn of evens lets me get an early weekend start on my new “Ward The Paladin” character! Woo Hoo! Grim Dawn for the next 48 hours non stop :slight_smile: I have been dying to try the new shield mastery after you guys mentioned it so many years ago, today is a good first step.

Ward? seems inappropriate. Paladins deserve european Spanish names like el critico. Well for now you can use your own paladin names :stuck_out_tongue:
