this is something new. gotta remove those wasted points off cadence from now on. . thanks for the tip:rolleyes:
I’ll have to assume Cadence has had a big damage boost since I played last? It was pretty piss poor for all the points invested into it, last I played.
Hey there!
Casual player here so don’t bash me. I like the combination of two that ur using that’s why everything are u did with ur setup i would like to know. So please, share with me. Devotion progress (kinda new player here, so i’m confused a little bit what u did and why in devotion tab :D), component, gear guide under50 etc (over 50 too! attrib guide too!)
thank you in advance!
One thing to remember about Storm Spread is that the 33% reduction only applies to each bolt. If you point-blank something, you’ll get full damage on that target. Unless you have at least L7 in Storm Spread, in which case you get 133% damage on the target. (Although, having yet to play the game–I’m still not sure I can afford even an $800 unit at the moment–I’m not sure how many bosses are going to be big enough to get all four bolts from a distance.).
As for wanting to use a rifle/crossbow for a Vindicator because of the Brute Force modifiers…Great, more things to spread points around. (I probably didn’t consider them at first, because Brute Force used to be melee-only.) And the Light’s Defender set really wants Storm Totem…which I can’t seem to make room for. {sigh} I wonder how crucial Lightning Tether is, when I have Rune of Hagarrad and Wind Devil (q.v. Raging Tempest) both plotted in.
Anyway, here’s the rough skill point sketch: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2d15wQV (carefully plotted in at least one sense: 122 points each to the inquisitor and shaman sides. I’m trying to avoid lopsidedness.)
Rune of Hagarrad and Chilling Rounds are in so as to get the full benefit of Stormcaller’s Pact (i.e. frostburn). Not including them feels like a waste of that modifier…Yet at the same time, I feel I could use more skill focusing (and/or incorporation of Storm Totem, for the sake of Light’s Defender). Plus, just four active skills (Storm Box, Rune of Hagarrad, Word of Renewal, Wind Devil; Savagery acts like the basal attack, and Mogdrogen’s Pact is a toggle) feels a little anemic.
And don’t get me started on my indecision on whether I’d start with a missile Vindicator or a melee Infiltrator…
Any updates bud? i’m working on this right now and would love to see a skill tree.
http://www.grimtools.com/calc/p25Wy4oZ check this out, I am set the skills, ignore the item if its not to your liking, also you can switch between throne / ghoul at the end of your devotion. Inquistor seal is HUGE, learn to use it often and blast everything before they reach you. Try and get 3 to 11 % attack converted to life on gear / compliments .
Anyone got a working build as mage Hunter? (Inq+arc)
TBH I’m not sure whether it will stand endgame, but I like the idea of DW elemental DMG
It provides many %crit DMG and %oa
It will lack aoe DMG (?) I think
And I didn’t watch for the latest mystical gear
As of right now I am leveling as 2h Tactician with Cadence and I haven’t had any issues. I use the runes the seal and Aura of Conviction.
curently lev 75 and working my way up.Thanx a lot for posting this. Looks great
I think the seals will make my leveling much easier.
How would you prepare the melee Infiltrator? I’m using a ranged variant with the Inquisitor mastery for focus with range, would a melee character have more focus in the Nightblade’s area ?
Hello there.
I am playing a purifier gunslider, and i want to know why people are suggesting to use 2H range weapon for this class !
Having 2 fast guns allows you to benefit way more from flat damage, (Overpowered) static strike.
Am i missing something ?
I checked the new items, there are some really great 2 hand rifles, ofc there are also great 1 hand pistols, but the 2 handers are worth to try it out.
hey hey
a little theory crafting … tell me your thoughts.
should i stop thinking about paring inq with arc for DW gunslinger and go purifier?!
Arcanist is going to be an OK, tank, but you’ll lack a good default attack. Demo, and Soldier are better DW options, and Shaman is a good 2h ranged option (probably not bad at DW, but 2h is far better on Shaman).
Guys,
I have looked at the class-pair options very thoroughly and OCC is by FAR, FAR the best.
Curse of vulnerability/fragility It provides a - minus 30%+ debuff to all ELEMENTAL damage! - along with - movement speed (crucial for a dual wield build) AND - defense.
This means you can specialise in all of the inquisitor’s multi-elemental WPS, and if you get amazing gear drops in one element you can switch your gear to that + you wont be gimped playing monsters with high res in your one single dmg type.
-
Blood of dregg will give you crucial phys/poison/rs, OA, health regen.
-
The buff from the crow will give you 100% ele dmg, 33% ele res and 30 flat ele dmg.
–
In some of these other pairings, maybe it looks good on paper with the BIS at the end of your journey, but you’ll thank me when you’re not destroying your build with lame res equipment on your journey to acquire those very BIS items.
Meanwhile, with OCC you’ve got an easy 100% poison res, 12% phys res, 33% ele res, and with one point wonders maybe around 10% vit res.
-
shoot, with the conversion of flames of Ignaffar, you can even do some interesting things around vit/chaos/fire dmg…
-
how is anything else nearly as interesting and diverse in comparison?
It’s all interesting, and worth giving it a go. You still lack a default weapon attack, but maybe the Shard of Beranoth is enough. Let us know how it goes.
I would definitely get storm box and biting cold for nice DA reduction.
