With what am I supposed to use this? Can’t really find anything obvious.

There’s a limited amount of 2h cold damage weapons:
Nothing to do with necro:

Necro bonus:

Necro skill bonus, but…

I guess you can also ignore physical and get a: Fleshwarped Shard - Items - Grim Dawn Item Database? But no then the soul harvest bonus is shit.

So only more or less straightforward option is Soulrend? :thinking: The rest seems kinda bad for this.

I guess you can also use the vit weapons and ignore that it has a conversion to cold, but while that may work it seems a bit wonky and out of character. (Like Korvan Reaping Halberd - Items - Grim Dawn Item Database might not be bad, but eh… not what I had in mind.)

Are there any builds using this? I tried to look for it, but grim tools wouldn’t even let me search on it and the forum only had two mentions of it from <2020 not build related.

any 2h melee BH build regardless of dmg type as long as the weapon’s base dmg isn’t phys uses this; it’s a free 20%tdm

I use it for soulrend with morgoneth set and reaping halberd with blood knight set. But the main reason is not due to the conversion, but for the 20% TDM. The conversion is there probably has to do so physical bone harvest do not use it

You can use it with any 2H weapon that supports cold damage like Soulrend. Or any 2H weapon that has no physical damage. The conversion is mostly optional.

A long time ago, you could convert Leviathan to pure cold for awesome damage. But the devs later added the physical conversion (???) and ruined that build. I’m still upset at that.
