Awesome pics! And he’s wielding a Flint Lock Pistol! Looks so mean definately expecting there to be a bit more tactics in play with GD …I like!
The screenshots have yet to disappoint! Very cool once again!
Every time the screenshots just look better and better!
… Is that a three barreled shotgun I see in the 4th shot? I can’t imagine the Dranghoul likes eating that!
Grenades - yes they have physics and you can in fact bounce them off walls around corners.
The shaman do attempt to run away when you attack them.
And finally, yes, that shotgun does indeed have 3 barrels - I mean shit, why not right?
Daddy likes what he sees. I like that, for example, the road dirt isn’t all the same texture, and the each of the fenceposts on the bridge are different. Whoever your art dude is, give him props. Nice waterfall, too. Looking forward to seeing more.
Very nice, the more of GD I see the harder it gets to wait for the release and I have a legendary
awesomesauce!!! very nice screens, keep up the good work:rolleyes:
Thank youuuuu!! <3
That is so awesome.
I feel bad for not seeing the waterfall.
It looks so awesome. It looks more realistic than the ones from TQ, too.
that is good to know about grenades, there will be some fun learning to toss them, especially around corners:D
man oh man, this game is looking and sounding better every day
Kepp up the good work;)
Some projectiles will actually explode when they collide with other projectiles, so you can potentially shoot down certain enemy projectiles (or they can shoot yours down). It is quite difficult to do intentionally in most cases though.
I’ve seen this happen most often against enemies who have a projectile attack with similar flight dynamics to the skill I’m using. Groble shaman’s flaming orb vs. the player’s grenado for instance. Occasionally they explode in mid-air.
say what?
that sounds utter epic, way beyond anything I could possibly hope for? able to shoot down projectiles in mid air, now that will be fun, even if its very hard to pull off, but it will be fun to try,
awsome! i wanna bounce a grenade!
me too as well!!!
would be interesting to found out what else would be possible, and how to use them in interesting ways,
Nice screenshots, I’m glad to hear of the progress and to hear about some of the new enemies and mechanics you have in store for us.
EDIT: I noticed some other outlets, such as rpgwatch, picked up on your new screenshots. Obviously that community is usually looking for gameplay with more story elements than I suspect Grim Dawn will have, but even still there are quite a few people over there interested in the game. All I can say is keep up the good work and the fans/customers will keep spreading the word and will keep buying the game.
The screenshots look great.
I looked at the last one first and thought, ha ha, die scarecrow man.
…
(ooh wait, I’m the scarecrow man.)
Wow so much fun with physic. Bouncing grenade, shot projectile mid air and cowardy shaman. I smell some awesome tactical battle ahead. mmm… yummy!
Yep bouncing grenades are very cool. I like that you can have explosions and guns in a top down setting but still having the relatively short range to the edge of the screen make sense. Guns in those days weren’t very accurate. Compare this to a sci/fi game like darkspore where the technology would make long range robot missiles make sense, yet you just use things within the screen. Anyway, pseudo-victorian era for the win!
can’t wait to play the game
3 Barreled Shotguns, flintlock pistols, “pilgrim” hats, exploding things, gorey monsters and beautiful scenery to slay them in. What more could you want in an ARPG. Way to go Crate!
Keep up the excellent work.
Looking pretty nice so far.
