Hi just read your update #01 about Spiritual buildings. What ever you decide to go with Churches,Temples,Religous altars,other. Maybe a cool mechanic would be to be able to make donations, gifts offerings (gold,food,other resources,prayer to the building, and in return for those offerings to the God/gods, you get some type of buff for the town. Good crops/Harvest for a set amount of time, better production for wood, ore etc. A fertility buff to boost population. The ideas are endless.

After my second town above 300 population I came on here to suggest this same thing, which I’m sure has been suggested just saw yours on here first. Having been a big fan of Banished I was able to move pretty fast, and this is a pretty intuitive city builder, so I built and maxed everything out in this game within a single playthrough of about 8 hours, not a lot of content imo is my biggest complaint, but I’ve already made several cities so it is enjoyable.
So religion/spirituality is an area that gives opportunity to create long term interest in the game by creating large scale/long term projects like cathedrals that could take hundreds of years to complete irl too.
