Item transfer between campaign and modded game?

Hey all! Complete noob to GD. I just installed the Smash n Grab mod after some research, as I simply don’t have enough time to dedicate to the game. However, prior to this I had one character level 43 with the base game, no mods, and he has some really nice items in his stash. Is it possible to start a custom modded game and then collect these in the item transfer via smuggler or should I just completely restart? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, I am new to this place.

You can transfer you character to custom game buy copying his/her folder to

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\user

and then opening this copied character (not the original) in GDStash and toggling in mod flag.
All his personal items will be copied.

As for stash you can either move all items from it to your character before the whole operation
or you can

  • select your Unmodded stash in GDStash and set it to your mod
    (this will move your stash from

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\

to

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\YOUR_MOD_FOLDER

If there’s a message that stash already exist, you need to delete your current modded stash from

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\YOUR_MOD_FOLDER

Thanks TQfan. I don’t have GD stash though. No biggie I will just start playing a modded game.
