Just finished the game for the first time with level 82

You are fine. You didn’t come in raving like a lunatic like some people we get and have been fairly mellow with it - I don’t agree with some of your views but such is the world, such is people.

Sigh. You know what, nevermind.

Build complexity aside, hilariously, one of the biggest deal breakers for me in D3 is… No camera rotation. I know, I know… but holy god what a missed opportunity. Really hard to enjoy it, and every other fixed camera ARPG after being spoiled by GD’s camera rotation capability.

Took me about 5h to figure out Diablo 3

Damage spikes because of more and more armor you need to sustain physical damage.

The game’s systems aren’t in full force into Ultimate, where you have to have a grasp on how the majority of systems coalesce.

Meaning beating Normal/Veteran doesn’t give you an overview on how every system interacts in full.

No armor is just another multiplicative damage reduction multiplier. The idea of armor only mitigating physical damage is just a complex layer for the sake of being complex. The armor absorption is completely meaningless, just another complex layer for the sake of being complex.

Also game does not tell you how armor works, you have to study that on some guide or read about in a forum or something.

It is explained though, but I assume you just made an unfunny joke about it :scorv:

Armor absorption is not explained. And belt is an armor slot, adds armor to all armor slots :scorv:
Components that adds flat armor when put in an armor slot will be added to just that slot (except if ring, amulet, medal, weapon, or off-hand) Whereas % increases are always global.
And it only reads “the less damage you will take” it does not explain how it is calculated.
In order to calculate how armor works, you need phd in astrobiology

Just how armor works in GD is more complex than the entire damage mitigation system in Diablo 3.

More armor and absorb = less damage taken.
That’s all you need to know!

Game does not tell about absorb, I need to guess? I need to know how percentages works? I do not have a college degree in chemistry dude

You do have a Game Guide though

https://www.grimdawn.com/guide/gameplay/combat/#q19

I support Medea.

It is not accessible in game. In what other game you need to use a website or guide for? At least not Diablo III It is just a proof that Grim Dawn is complex for the sake of being complex. So many numbers for the sake of having many numbers  Diablo 3 is much more balanced in its fundamental systems.

It kinda is. Must admit I hardly ever notice its presence

Hm, have you never noticed this?

It opens a web browser for me, it is not emergent in the game.

It still takes you to the guide. And if you want more then turn on the tutorial tips as you play through the game.

Also H key to open in game guides.

Should not be needed, game should hold my hand like Diablo 3 does.
