Logistics/Outpost

Hey! Great game, loving it so far. Here is what I find myself craving, some sort of logistics.

So my city center is a little in land, a bit of a hike from the nearest lake where there is Willow and Fish. So Id like to build a little outpost out there as opposed to building an entire little town out there, I think it would be great to be able to send supplies out there via some logistics route and also have them essentially send their stuff back too. Imagine a wagon heading out to the lake outpost to drop off meats/veggies/supplies etc, and then picking up fish and willow etc.

Wagon carts basically do this, only you do not have control over what they pick up and what they leave behind. I guess putting a market near the outpost would give it sufficient supplies

Wagons only collect stuff from mines/pits and stock temporary shelters. They don’t do anything else in the way of deliveries/collections.

Yep. To supply a distant workforce to access, say, the Gold Mine off in a corner of the map, you have to build regular residences, and a Market, and probably a Rat Catcher and Composter. What I’ve found works best is to also supply the Market with a Storehouse and Storage Yard and Root Cellar and set up a couple of hunters, fishers or foragers nearby to feed them all. I don’t even try to upgrade any of the workforce beyond Tier 1, because supplying even Herbs can be dicey from clear across the map, and supplying manufactured goods like Pottery, Clothing, Shoes or Candles is a Major Pain with the lack of control over logistics and stocking right now.
