I have a few problems with how the market works and how effective the workers are.
- Grocers can’t keep up with restocking firewood for more than 30 houses in their range (homesteads)
- Grocers are really lazy and try to do their job with least possible effort. For example if I have 2 root cellars one containing meat/fish etc and second for veggies they will choose closer one and stock fully on the first item that is in needed amount. For example they will take 500 veggies and not take anything else. They don’t consider providing different types of food.
- Market is not always stocking on some goods like soap.
- with recent changes to temp shelter being used more villagers use market a lot less ending with more spoiled food (especially when lazy grocer brings veggies only)
- Many times villagers ignore that pottery/ candles etc. Is available and ignore market just to go to storage to take it.
- Villagers treat market as storage so if it’s closer then root cellar they drop stuff there. Like farmers dropping all veggies and greens they get into market.
- putting bakery closer than root cellar is a bad choice cause grocer will focus on getting only bread and ignore root cellars.
